  1. Well, I spent yesterday evening doing some config on my Stomp; man the app is hard work!
  2. Yep - the intention is to replace some standalone pedals on my board and maybe do some more stuff. That plus a C4 should keep me occupied for a while...
  3. (FYI, I bought one new today.)
  4. Matsumoku Only: https://www.facebook.com/groups/267949426704780 Aria pro II SB basses: https://www.facebook.com/groups/196371477217872
  5. It's probably larger than and weighs more than a TE Elf!
  6. He's replied that to me twice, on different occasions.
  7. Pah! Anybody who says this will be their last iteration of a pedalboard is clearly delusional.
  8. I have a rather nice Aria PE 6-string and also a cheap Hamer Slammer which is darned good. In contrast, there are some quite awful Rickenbacker copies being churned out. I can't list you any high-end ones, though.
  9. The Fender brands and ranges are positioned to certain price points.
  10. There are some very good guitars made in China; unfortunately a lot of cheap inferior ones and counterfeits are churned out from lesser makers.
  11. It's for sale just up the road from the Blarney Stone!
  12. Japan: Matsumoku made many brands, including Aria, Vorg, and many more; they went out of business in the 80's and the factory allegedly burned down . FujiGen Gakki still makes Ibanez and made Fenders. Chushin Gakki made El Maya, Jackson & Charvel. Tokai still have a Japanese operation. Kasuga made guitars. Teisco made budget guitars including Audition, Top Twenty, and other brands in the 60's and were taken over by Kawai. I expect @Bassassin would be able to use his encyclopaedic knowledge to expand on the above! In the US, Rickenbacker make Rickenbackers!
  13. I used to have a fretless with full-length fingerboard and a pickup underneath back in the 70's or 80's; it had a rather pointy flame sort of shape and was called The Hooker. It got lost in a house move.
  14. I had a go on my re-wired board yesterday and my overdrive and octave pedals weren't working when I selected their loops. Doh! I'd connected the Octave pedals loop and the Overdrive one the wrong way round. Fortunately the patch cables reached OK, so I could just swap the respective pairs of jack plus around. 😕
  15. Does "Bass and Guitar Show" mean they'll be doing doublenecks?
  16. I’m amazed this is still available. every time I pick up my Statii I think Wow!
  17. This'll be a Matsumoku; probably the same instrument as Grant, Columbus, and other budget brands of the 70s..
  18. Plenty of "I've been told"s in the text there; I wonder if anybody' should "told" him what the real value of that bass is?
  19. Not yet - I might see if they can post and check payment expectations...
  20. Has anybody tried buying a HX Stomp priced at £250 on Facebook? I've seen two, with sellers in Swindon and Milton Keynes; Ive had the conversation and agreed to collect, but then the buyer has gone silent when I've asked for details and a demo. Curiously, both sellers have also been selling DJ kit and their replies have been worded in a not dissimilar manner. My suspicion-o-meter has been noticeably twitching.
