  1. It seems to me that generally people are trying to "enhance" the value of Squiers. OK, maybe there are some particular ones which may be quite nice, but the rest are just Fender's budget brand.
  2. I've just spent £180 on a couple of cases of wine.
  3. £1k is a bit too much for me.
  4. I think that "accidental" misnomer does say a lot! 🙂
  5. That's a fair price; a lot of folks seem to want to sell the HB's for more than they are new!
  6. Sold for £57, which probably isn't a bad price.
  7. I looked at that earlier; it's had a bid, so the BIN is gone. I do like the ageing of the wood.
  8. Everybody should own a Thunder at some point in their bass-playing adventures.
  9. I think the Octamizer is the most natural sounding octave pedal I've tried.
  10. Mine are ok; they can vary.
  11. Yep, they changed. What do you mean a lump at the nut?
  12. Kudos for keeping the Squier brand on it and not "upbranding" it to a fake Fender!
  13. My baloney-ometer has kicked into action. So, it's not a 1970's then. Maybe not such great build quality, then. A variant on "the wife" angle. Good attention to detail there. Bar the knobs? What lawsuit?
  14. Yes, of course; not for me, this one, though.
  15. Mine was a passive one - I bought it new. I think the active came later.
  16. I used to have one back in the 80s; one of our sets was wearing black and red, so I had mine with a red strap.
  17. The hairpin truss rod system is great; the only issue is when people assume it works like a Fender.
  18. Well, it interested you enough to reply! 🙂
  19. Is there a Rickenbacker one? 🙂
