  1. Gee, I wish I could help you, but I don't want to!
  2. Me - I was sure I'd bought a box set of their albums, but I couldn't find it so maybe I binned it. My recollection is that I couldn't find a single song I could bear listening to.
  3. Allparts sell them (the grooved version) for £120. https://www.allparts.uk.com/products/allparts-leo-quan-badass-ii-bass-bridge-4-string-grooved-saddles
  4. The solution to being a 9V charity service is to put things on a pedalboard with a power supply. "Got a spare 9V?" => "Nope - don't use them."
  5. I'm not sure of the models, but they are by: Ampeg Trace Elliot SWR Honourable mention to: Acoustic Crown/Amcron (power amps) Oh, and also Markbass, for doing things that real people can carry!
  6. My usual things is I bring loads of gear, get it set up, play about a bit, pick up the presentation sessions, and then it's the end of the day. I'm debating travelling light this time so I can look at some other folks stuff and have a chat for a change.
  7. Might as well just get a fretless.
  8. I saw an Eko 12-string two weeks ago; I have to say I was impressed that it still existed intact.
  9. BTW, tin foil is really good for cleaning off rust if there is any.
  10. Well, taking them off would be the first step! 🙂
  11. I don't think there's been a change to the distance selling rules. Note that distanceselling is for unseen items, so if they do a video call which shows you the item, then I think that could count as having inspected it.
  12. I spent some time thinking I didn't like that and then sat down and had a listen and found it to be rather good. I've always struggled more with Relayer, so maybe I need to have another listen there too.
  13. I quite like Guns'n'Roses, apart from the songs with that screechy bloke doing the vocals.
  14. I have Status Graphite and Warwick active 5-string basses - I like them. I don't have a Dingwall or Strandberg headless multiscale bass, but if I had £2k I'd be looking at them. Alternatively my £2k could get me a set of Moog Taurus pedals or a Chapman Stick.
  15. Sorry to hear your issue. We had an situation a while back where there was a scammer selling the same item to multiple buyers; the loud and clear message was don’t use unsecured means to pay up-front to people you don’t know (PayPal F&F, bank transfer, etc.). That seller gave several people the same shipping ref as proof of posting. If you’ve decided it is dodgy then it is a good idea to report to the police and get a crime reference number. Hope you get it sorted.
  16. Oh, it’s in Japan; it’s probably a speculative broker fronting someone else’s sale.
