  1. Has anybody compared the Panda Future Impact side-by-side against the Source Audio C4? The C4 seems to have the technical edge, but is that right? From a physical perspective, the C4 is more pedalboard-friendly, though you can spend another chunk of money on a smaller conversion box to re-house the FI to part-mitigate against that. The C4''s MIDI input is USB, which limits the choice of external standalone MIDI controllers. OTOH, the FI has a 5-pin DIN MIDI, but it is pernickety about what you can connect to it (both computer-FI and standalone controllers). The the C4 sells at approx £220 whereas FI is 50% more, at ~ £330. Any thoughts?
  2. But missed by the 2nd post... 🙂
  3. Looks like this is already posted...
  4. To be fair, the description does say "Yes I know it’s a squire it’s the Pete wentz signature collection which is what makes it rare and if you’ve never heard of him then just move on , no need to message me to tell me so. ". But the dumbass keeps calling it a "squire". They have got the "Was part of my late fathers collection" heartstring, though. This did make me chortle, slightly: "Comments from a customer whom bought a fender strat from me recently was wow , what a bass when he saw this , he played it as it was the only bass I had in tune". Hmmm, they say a "customer"; could they be a biz-nezz? Their sold items list things designated "new". (They've sold a number of instruments, but can't they tune one?) All-in-all, there's something whiffy about their ads.
  5. It'd be overpriced at £180.
  6. Picture shows a Fender logo, but description is a vague disclaimer.
  7. I prefer the Ric bass neck to others; it's purely subjective.
  8. My feet catch the pulse and the purposeful stride.
  9. Fab little amps - everybody should have one.
  10. 40V, centre +, apparently!
  11. Yep - that one smelled worse than an old kipper, bent as a nine-bob note.
  12. I definitely want something to just add a little more crunch. I'm trying out a tube one at the moment... I'll give it a go with the Ric in stereo over the weekend, as I made a splitter box last week.
  13. Do you wanna touch? Yeah. Do you wanna ... (Oops - not allowed!)
  14. I think @ped likes these...
  15. Oh missus Ware I do like your hair cor-blimey...
  16. I'd have that, if it wasn't "oop norf" and me "darn sarf".
  17. 3 or 13A doesn’t really matter much; it just to protect the flex.
  18. Haha - I think it uses 12V internally; it's just they made it mains powered...
  19. Well today I went out and I came home with a Dean Markley Overlord tube pedal; it sounded pretty decent in the shop, so I'll be trying it out in my board. It's got an ECC83 valve in it. It neatly sidesteps the power supply question by having a captive mains lead - yep, a wire with a UK 13A plug on the end!
  20. Isn't that a kind of curry?
  21. I am still feeling a bit odd after that - I'm not used to selling Rics! Still, I do have 7 left... Nice meeting you & chatting, BTW!
