    I bought a Steinberger Spirit guitar last week; I think it pretty much covers the travel guitar concept.

    Ah - that took me back to sitting in a Uni room listening to the hi-fi. Of course, the video is daft in the first place with them whizzing around and Geddy himself describes the hairdo as like a racoon had landed on his head. Aimee Mann guested pushing a camera around on that one. Again, that took me back - Miami Vice, a bottle of Liebfraumilch. Billy Squier is one of my favourite artists, but that is the must sucky video ever.

    The concert where BB King acknowledges him as a genuine friend is quite touching. I think he had no clue what he was up to in the 70s.

    I turned on the telly the other day and thought "That's not bad guitar playing.", followed by "Crikey - it's Clapton; he's usually boring.". It was the Concert for George; he was playing one of Harrison's songs.

    Aye. Rickenbackers do stereo and there is decent quality (eg. Belkin) stereo cable available.

    Folks will happily plug things into patch panels, so why not have adapters.

    Quite nice looking, but I'd spend a grand of my money on something else.

    One thing I do find a bit disconcerting is that there isn't an indicator that the app is connected to the FI; you have to do something and see if it works.

    I have a Zenta, but it's definitely not the model in the OP.

    That is an interesting one - it's a transition 4003, with the truss-rod adjustment at the body end. I'd looked at it earlier in the day, but I don't want to spend more cash just now. (A couple of weeks ago it was a set of Moog Taurus I was having to hold back from buying!)

    I've used a Yamaha U16 USB USB-MIDI interface with mine. I've loaded the programs from the FI and controlled the FI (using the app on Windows) and applied a firmware update to the FI. (I already had that, so decided to use it before going to the recommended/tested list.)

    It sounds great. However, the strings are quite far apart (4 pairs across the width of a guitar neck), so if I were ding another, I'd probably go for a 12-string.
