  1. I've got a set of 4R gold Schaller M4S tuners, but I want 2L+2R ones. Is anybody in the opposite situation? Alternatively, I could swap for 2L+2R Schaller BM, either gold or black. My tuners are in good used condition. (It's a stock picture.)
  2. I've got a set of 4 in a line (4R) Schaller M4S tuners, but I'd like to swap them to 2L + 2R. Is this something which can be done (easily)?
  3. Are there any bare brass bass tuners available, rather than gold finish ones?
  4. I've got a Hipshot chrome finish brass bridge and I'd like to strip it back to the bare brass. Has anybody done this, any advice? Presumably I would dismantle it, but could that leave the Allen grub screw threads loose?
  5. 🙂 Someone got a factory end of line/unfinished/2nds job lot; I think he's sold all the basses now, but has some guitars. Unlike most current copies, these are true Ric 33.25" scale. I didn't see any left-hookers.
  6. Ugly sod, isn't it? ...but I like it!
  7. Here y'go! The red/wine one is going to be a 5-string. The cream one may be a 4000, but I think it could be better with the neck pickup. The blue one is the one I'm debating putting that brass pickguard on, which will then cascade out to the other bits...
  8. You just might've made my mind up for me! I've been thinking about whether to put brass/gold on a blue Ric faker I've acquired this week.
  9. I got the MIDI Mongoose, but haven't tried it yet; I think it's either something I'll "get" or it'll be a pain in the rear doing a little dance (the "mongoose step"?) operating it.
  10. Is that video the same gig? I'm sure I've seen it with different music.
  11. Ah - Machine Head - Glover on his Rickenbacker bass.
  12. Air guitars have been on ebay for at least a decade 0/10.
  13. A lot of the vids were deliberately retro. The Garden on the Clockwork Angels tour was spot on.
  14. Maybe just heavy overall. I was expecting the one I got to be neck heavy, but it balance pretty well.
  15. That's nice - I bought a Kramer a couple of weeks ago...
  16. The MIDI Mongoose also accepts phantom power over the MIDI cable - does the FI supply that? (It also has a DC in and 9V battery option.)
  17. They're CC1 & CC2, so indeed are TRS connectors for pedals. I guess I meant I only bought it as a switcher.
  18. Yes - definitely a poor show putting your acoustics there; next someone will be showing ukuleles!
  19. It's just a switcher - I hadn't really considered expression.
  20. I got a MIDI switcher to go with mine; I need a couple of wires to connect it (power and a right-angled MIDI), but my board's almost there.
  21. I had a go on one on the Orange stand at the Brum Guitar Show - it was really very good.
  22. Worked with Elton John, David Bowie, Lou Reed, and one or two others... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbie_Flowers
  23. That is a pretty lame steampunk attempt.
