The bass is a solid beast, it's the heaviest bass I've owned but it's weightyness reflects on it's awesome tone and punch. The neck is also the thickest in depth (standard string spacing so it is a STANDARD WIDTH) compared to most basses but the sucker never goes out of tune because of the solid build quality. Means that there's a bit more gap between the thumb and fingers, but it's real easy to play! Hope this helps
