What a surprise... Don't know what they expected when they gave a 2K bass to a 7 year old kid

Went last year and this year. To be honest I don't think I'll go again. Open-space workshops surrounded by bass and guitar amps is as stupid as it sounds. The other workshops in separate rooms were very interesting. I expected to find much more to try and in a way that it is easier for everyone to sit down and try stuff.

Where do people get their strings from? Where is good?
Iacopo San replied to shoulderpet's topic in Accessories and Misc
Really?? I've just had a look, they only have 29 options for 5-string sets and they seem to be more expensive than other websites -

Celestion cones! Amazing -
The Corts I have tried all had an amazing feel and they seemed built really well. The problem is that I always find the sound very sterile and uninteresting, often quite empty and canny. I think I just don't get along with Bartolini pickups.

Are we actually discussing the possibility of McCartney being overrated? I can understand Beatles may not be your cup of tea, but really? For me he is one of the best bass player ever existed. Immensely creating, bass lines that could stand alone and be appreciated as a whole song, but still perfectly fitting and functional in each song. For me he was simply perfection.

MXR M87. I am still not able to perceive and play with the nuances you could get, but this has as the gain reduction leds to allow you to see what it is doing, and the minimal settings I need. I keep it on all the time in the background.

Packing - Got some strings yesterday..

It's ridiculous. You should let them know that despite their best intentions (probably) you did not appreciate it. For some bloody strings even, what the hell could happen to them anyway??? -
If you remove that pickguard and get a better looking bridge, you may have a winner! Although I still don't like how they placed those pots... But after all sound is the most important thing, so well done to you!
