  1. No. Haven’t heard from Jon since I dropped it off...
  2. The Helix has a very good global EQ - and a number of other very good EQ “blocks” - it has a Mic in and I’ve recorded vocals through it very successfully - it’s certainly not limited to guitar and bass
  3. Actually IIRC Barefaced primarily made the FR800 as a PA speaker - so no different to anyone else
  4. I just have to know - what letter did you star out? Was it an ‘s’? Or an ‘n’? Or maybe an ‘r’?
  5. Yeah and I’ve still got the little pencil I nicked at the same time 🤣
  6. I was joking - it was in response to the “P basses look cheap cos of the Argos catalogue ones” comments 😂
  7. Pre CBS precision? pfftt. Rubbish.
  8. I’ve checked the speakers. They have never had slap played through them.
  9. I got a P bass because it was the only thing I could afford at the time:
  10. Gut wrenchingly bowel movingly windowbreakingly thump-you-in-the-chest loud. That’s what it is
  11. Lol. I killed rock and roll when I started this thread. Tho my rock and roll credentials have been restored by acquiring this:
  12. Dunno whether it’s gas or not.. don’t get me wrong, I’ll be mostly gigging frfr - but I can see this stack getting a few outings when I really want to give it some..
  13. Gave it a proper clean up today and fixed the scratchy pots. Wow. Just gets better this does.
  14. The only Ampeg combo that ever really impressed me was one of the “T” models with a tube preamp - but even that was low output. I would suggest something with more heft and power as well. If you can stand the weight you can get some seriously powerful Trace watts for buttons these days..
  15. Depends on if the fishman outputs at line level
  16. It needs an outing... but if low volume is anything to go by (low volume.. lol..)
  17. Well, let’s just say that I paid significantly under 1/10th of that for mine.. ok, it needs a service, but it cost more in diesel than it do to pay for it....
