  1. I’m just up the road from you. If you need any specific purchasing help/want to try stuff out, then give me a shout
  2. I’m allergic to bananas and I still like yellow
  3. I was specifically referencing this one. More specifically the fact that at least 2 U.K. retailers have the power listed as 2000w RMS despite the manual saying 2000w Peak. I don’t recall any other amp product I’ve come across with a similar discrepancy.
  4. Damn it and it’s good sounding, loud enough, reliable ability to cut through the mix!
  5. You don’t notice when you are in front of it, facing away towards the audience
  6. So what do I think? I’ve put some TI’s on it. I was going to put Chromes on but decided to try TIs first. Didn’t have to tweak the rod (phew - no cracked necks ) It’s the lowest action I’ve had on a bass. It’s sitting at just over a mm on the B and about .7 on the G. Very very little fret buzz at all until you dig in (with fingers) which I would expect. Cor. Never thought it would sit this low action wise and be as playable. It sounds very P bass, as expected - and I have a bass with the p-retro Preamp in so knew exactly what to expect. As for fives - a bit like the fretless, I’ve realised I’m just not adventurous in my playing and trying stuff as I should be - feels natural and easy to get on with and I reckon after an hour or so it will be second nature. Should have got one ages ago - go figure. Alan really has surpassed himself. Love the body shape, the neck is astonishingly good and it’s the sort of fit and finish that you expect at the very highest price point. Sorry @CameronJ but I doubt this one is going anywhere fast.. Been in two minds about an ACG and wondered if they are worth going for? Don’t hesitate at all. They are simply sublime.
  7. It’s arrived. Beauty shots will have to wait till it’s actually light outside when I’m home.. but just in case you don’t believe me
  8. I think the fact that the manual is the only place, and most retailer listings or ads don’t state RMS or Peak is the cause of the consternation. Each time I see a retailer listing saying “x Watts RMS” my initial reaction isn’t “better check the manual as they could be lying”
  9. I meant the fact that Bugera don’t state RMS is irrelevant to the point I was making, which was simply that even the Retailers are confused.
  10. Irrelevant. We buy from retailers. They should list the power rating correctly - and Bugera should correct them if wrong.
  11. Just a shame the retailers selling it for them can’t repeat that info and list it as RMS instead.
  12. Lol - shame Rimmers didn’t read the manual you linked to 🤣

Nope. Same 2000w RMS. Hhmmmmmm
  14. I know I’ve questioned the watts in this thread a bit - but, your point really is the only important one - if it works and it sounds good then that’s all that matters.
  15. Whoah! That’s a WHOPPER!! Look at how big it is compared to that house.. Is it 34 foot scale?!
  16. No, but you will eventually “feel” about 10ms of latency.
  17. Yes, but like anything it’s about context - there’s so much going on in a band scenario that you probably wouldn’t notice 1ms latency in a decent tight band. You’ll be listening more to the drummer than your own playing - and of course their latency will increase with distance just the same (speed of sound innit) Like I said, it only really makes a difference when you have some really accurate timing to hold down, or if you are recording, as your DAW chain will often have built in latency already.
  18. I know this is over simplifying and people will grumble, but effectively an FRFR cab is a (fuller range) cab with a built in power amp..
  19. Whilst I agree, to an extent with this, the thing is that the 0.8ms latency won’t be the total latency you hear. As humans, we start to perceive latency at around 9/10 ms or so.. So, take the 8ms and stand 4 feet from your amp and you are at around about 12ms - Which is noticeable. (Well I think it is - you can “feel” it rather than “hear” it..)
  20. (Just for clarity, my “effectively zero” is about 0.03ms I reckon, assuming that the cable is pretty efficient and the signal is close to SOL)
