  1. Following the sharing of my Shuker Uberhorn on about two dozen Facebook group sites including Scott’s Bass Lessons, Bass Player Magazine, and loads of other player groups it’s had about a million views and coming on for 50k likes.. It is now officially more famous than I will ever be. I can’t begin to tell you how depressing that actually is...
  2. And he’s finally credited me for it. Shame Bass Player Magazine haven’t. They will be hearing from my photo agency tomorrow (honestly!)
  3. Lol - won’t be immediate as none of my stuff is shifting
  4. Well, I have a lot of gear to sell and my plan is to get an ACG fiver... maybe the Finn will be surplus if I do?
  5. You’d be seriously p1ssed if you lost it at a gig after whacking £1k on it...
  6. I had assumed they would have been the fuel...
  7. No, I’m a 4’s man at the mo. I’d like to try 5 now. Anyone who knows my history will know that “try” normally means spending an obscene amount of money and having something a bit exotic
  8. I saw you only last week snurgling a Warwick thumb
  9. You could have been a bit more discreet about it
  10. Funnily enough the smell is often dictated by the glue they used to stick the case lining down with....
  11. At the end of the day, a bass is made up of a set of component parts that each add to the “sound”. In the main, these components are pretty much alike from one bass to another - strings, bridge, tuners, wood, pickups and how they are made/wound. We formulate and process information in our brain from a mixture of sensory sources - I’m not surprised there was little discernible difference in an audio only test as nobody had the visual cues that our brain often uses to interpret sound..
  12. Which is exactly why I don’t understand the snobbery at all
  13. Shergold marathon and Trace? Luxury.. I want a bass that will shred my fingers and an amp that is more farty and wheezy than Albert Steptoe
  14. Again, if people are upfront about the motivation for buying then, hey, why not? It’s the snobbery I don’t like. “Oh, I wouldn’t play a squier - it’s just so amateur”
  15. Yes exactly. Maybe I need to start gigging with a Marlin Sidewinder bass and an old Torque amp..
  16. Clearly needs the floggle toggle adjusting
