  1. Well, I’m 44 - best I give up next year for fear of being a sad old loser. Oh yeah, that’s right - IDGAF what anyone else thinks
  2. What you need is a nice EICH T-1000 so you get even more watts to pump into that big ol' cab
  3. Ibanez SRH-500 DEF (Dragon Eye Burst) 4 String Piezo under saddle pickups It's been out a few times but it gets used so much less than the ACG that there's no point in holding on to it! It's as new - no marks or dings. It doesn't come with a case, but I have an old gig bag I can supply with it - I'd rather not post as it's a semi-hollow and no hard case - but get in touch and I'lll see if I can deliver it myself - I get around a lot for work. £300
  4. Someone posted a pic of my Shuker fretless on a Facebook page - Bass Players United - it got 12k likes, 2.5k shares and nearly 1000 comments... erk

18 Thousand likes, 944 comments and 5,436 shares. I'd say that was massively impressive. I can't see one negative comment either. All high praise ❤️

'But Jaco didn't need a shiny finish.'

Has no one posted that yet?

  5. Vanderkley 210LNT 2x10 Cab This is one of the LNT cabs - so it's rated at 1200w with neodymium light weight drivers. Really great cab - loads of power and a dream to use - only been sat in my music room so never really used in anger at all. 1200w rating. 20kg weight. Pretty much as new. Comes complete with Vanderkley cover worth £50 UK only - and I have no way of shipping, so this will be a collect, or we can discuss a way of me getting it to you - I'm out and about quite a bit!
  6. EICH T-1000 1000w Head. Bought from Bass Direct. This rather unique head has 2 500w Class D amps in it - each of which can have a cab connected down to 2ohms, or they can be bridged for 1000w at 4ohms. Superb clean, transparent tone, with a handy and usable compressor and EQ section. Pretty much as new, with very little usage live at all. Mostly used in my music room, where it's utterly overkill. They are over £1100 new, so £700. Comes complete with EICH bag. UK only - not posting outside of the UK
  7. When I started that topic it was meant to be a fairly innocuous observation tbh. There’s some brilliant stuff in there though. However, this is the internet so inane comment and argument is pretty inevitable.
  8. The first one was danish oil - done in a weekend and foolproof - it is literally wipe on with a cloth, give a few hours to dry and then reapply until you like what you see. The green one is nitro and so a whole different kettle of difficult fish...
  9. I ended up building a partscaster with body and neck from someone I know who makes them. I’ve got two now - one solid and one semi. Both hand finished and set up. Both cost less than £500 complete. 44mm nut, shallow neck etc. There really was nothing out there equivalent so I felt it was the best way to do it..
  10. I think considering the finer points of FRFR is not wise after too much beer!
  11. Wasn’t there a thread about this topic recently? 😜
  12. I headed straight to the Shuker workshop after seeing it for the first time 🤣
  13. Nope - my mileage is the same as yours.. 😜
  14. On it’s own - why do you need all that other stuff?! Or are you secretly a guitarist? 😂
  15. Thanks - there’s a couple of threads on here with a lot of detail about it
  16. Yeah - they have nicked it from a Facebook closed group - very naughty of them. My comment to you was very much tongue in cheek....!
