  1. Well, I got order confirmation - just waiting for delivery confirmation. They are a bricks and mortar place so no real risk - I did PayPal so I can just reverse if it’s a no show as it’s on pay after delivery.
  2. Indeed - but £299 for the 20 was too tempting to resist
  3. I simply can’t think of anything I’d swap it for...
  4. Beautiful. My number 1 is a 64 - also full of character with knocks, dings, dents, worn patches, lacquer checking and flaking, a shrinking pickguard and rusting hardware - but I wouldn’t change a bit of it.
  5. There’s always one
  6. I’m near Spalding... my band is based in Loughborough...
  7. Yeah, me too...
  8. I’ll get me binoculars
  9. Is that one of those lil chillies you got there?
  10. That body colour is nearly swamp ash with a tinted danish oil finish as well..
  11. You got one of those 4’ 6” scale basses then?
  12. Someone had binoculars in the venue?!
  13. Just as an aside here - following an enquiry - the damage on the front isn't damage - it's polished out, so it's just the 3 divots on the back:
  14. Nobody - your hearing is shot
  15. Do you wear goggles to protect your eyes?
  16. Just a thought - to do a true Jag build it should be short scale - you could do a jazz body and stick your pickup in it with a jazz bridge and have a bit of a full scale hybrid - unless you want short scale of course!
  17. There’s plans for a Jazz Bass here: https://www.gitarrebassbau.de/download/file.php?id=6282&sid=a489b2dba605a9837dd72e33386db328
  18. My regular builder would do one but he’s stacked at the moment and his lead time is months. You could ask one of the online builders if they would do one as a one off which is a possibility - or, buy a template set and have a go yourself The other option is a cheap squier and strip it!
  19. Bridge will go on this afternoon - then it’s just pickup and electronics.
  20. Black wins! And it’s fitted...
  21. Most of the coffee gets drunk in our house well before soaking can occur
  22. Possible, but a bit too much effort for a cheapie like this - I might look to find a proper cream guard for later
  23. I'm colour blind. Explains the consistently crap playing.
