  1. Which is that expensive gas that you get from a posh meal at a very exclusive Michelin starred restaurant...
  2. Well the other end of it is def. the AVRI 62P...
  3. Get yer drill out - it will be fine
  4. Cor blimey. It gets better. I purchased a DHA VTI-EQ-DI-STD from @TPJ Tried it into front end of Helix, through monitors and phones. Then DI into the K10.2. Blimey. I have a few Preamp DI pedals but this is something else. The valve Preamp makes a massive difference - the K10.2 sounds more cab like than it ever has and the warmth, punch, definition and tone is unbelievable. I tried the 64P in and it just came alive. Wow.
  5. She’s a learner but she’s definitely got that natural rhythm you need..
  6. Ordered. So, @MartinB - we should turn this thread into an "Interesting small wattage valve head story" and update progress/experience! No more procrastination. PF20t on the way.
  7. Excellent news.. let's hope passing cars aren't also attracted towards it!
  8. Thinking about this, its a concrete floor... Will I need extra reinforcement for a Trace combo?
  9. Haha! No, she doesn't want a natural finish on hers.. This one is purely for backup purposes, er, or something like that (depends on who is asking). She did say that she likes me making partscasters as it keeps me happy and gets me from "being under her feet too much" Which is a blatant pass to spend money to keep her happy...
  10. Either that, or is this the excuse I need to get a trace combo as it won't need to be moved?
  11. It would probably fit on the relic PJ body I have which is standard fender 4 hole and now redundant.. it is a Daphne blue relic but is nitro so an easy refinish
  12. We have done some research - she's done a lot of decoupage - I think it will be classic rock posters or something similar - top only - back and sides natural - whole lot shot over with clear lacquer. Need to do a bit of experimenting but should make for an interesting build thread (!)
  13. She want's a combo for the conservatory where her drum kit is Naturally, I think she needs a nice Ampeg valve combo.. cough.
  14. @MartinB - did you order one? I'm tempted, but a bit suspish of the price!
  15. Thanks - the dark mahogany oil is a bit of an experiment, but it seems to be doing a good job. This one was always going to be a bit of a thrown together job, and to an extent "acceptable" will do. It'll be a backup gigging machine and that's about it. Probably depends on what pickup I can find for it - if I find a nice vintage one then it might get some recording use too
  16. “Fill the whole world with a [barefaced] Rainbow [cab]”
