Fender Pawnshop bass VI Very nice bass VI from the pawnshop series. This bass is very well built with a tight neck pocket fit. It sounds already great unplugged, and doesn't let you down once plugged in. The bass is in good used condition with only a few bumps/small usermarks. The frets are still good too. Of course all functions like it should. I don't have the tremolo arm, but these can be had easily from online shops. A simple Fender gigbag is included for shipping. Asking €1.100 The VI is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.

Fender US Std Jazz 5 string - 2001 ish - any experience?
SurroundedByManatees replied to Mokl's topic in Bass Guitars
I've only played 2 fender 5-ers that were really balanced sounding with a decent B-string. One was a precision deluxe with the humbucker in the bridge, the other one a cheap blacktop jazz... Further I've played a few 5 string jazzes, mex and USA. None of them had a really good B. One of the USA basses (I think it was a 99 or early 00s) was the most dead sounding bass I've played of any brand, no preamp or pickup change could save that one.. -
Up for sale again: Yamaha RBX1000 Great high-end model from the RBX range. According to the serial explanation of Yamaha, this bass was made between 1986-1989. This RBX1000 is an active bass and has a 2eq preamp along with a vol and pan control. It is finished in a pretty trans black, which makes the (ash?) grain show through nicely. It's a pretty light bass, my kitchen scale sets it at 3,44 kilo's. So it's a comfortable bass to play for longer sets or rehears. Tonewise it's a versatile bass, and sounds serious. I like it especially with bass and treble boosted a lot for a deep thunderous modern sound. Cosmetically this bass is in "road worn" condition. It has a lot of scratches, dents and a few chips of paint missing... Technically the bass is all good. All electronics and hardware work like they should, the neck is straight and adjustable, the frets are still pretty good and allow low action. The bass has been set up with sadowsky strings. All in all this is a high quality, well used bass at a decent price. Low price €300. Don't wait for price drops, there won't be any ;). The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship within the EU at buyers risk.

Peavey B-quad Terrific USA made Peavey B-quad, probably from the early 90s. These basses have a Modulus neck! It's a great sounding instrument with a wide range of sounds using the 2 pickups and piezo bridge. The bass is in used but decent condition. It has some usermarks and small damages, but nothing significant in my opinion. All electronics including the piezo work like they should. The master volume is a bit scratchy, so might need a little cleaning. The back of the neck has been sanded for a really smooth satin finish, it feels just great. Apparently the nut has been changed somewhere in time, which hasn't been the prettiest job ever done. Easy fix though I've fitted the bass with fresh rotosound strings. A generic hardcase is included. Asking €1.550 I am located in the Netherlands, but could ship within the EU at buyers risk. As for partial trades, I am interested in a nice amp. Think; Ashdown ctm 100, Ampeg V4(b), Gallien-Krueger 400/700/800RB, Peavey Tmax... I could also be interested in basses, but only 60s or early 70s Fender (or maybe a nice copy) or a good MM Sabre. I've got more basses and stuff to add in a trade if needed.

Ibanez Affirma A104 Rare original early 90s Ibanez Affirma A104 (label says with saman body wood, though looks a lot like walnut imo), designed by Rolf Spuler. Only 1000 of the originals were made in the Japanese Ibanez Custom Shop. They are pretty rare and sought after. This is number 720. The bass is in good condition for it's age. There is a small damage near the d-tuner, otherwise just smaller usermarks. The neck is straight and adjustable, the frets are still good and the electronics including piezo work like they should. This Affirma plays great and has a nice range of sounds using the pickup, piezo and 2eq preamp. Included are the original Affirma case and original paperwork (!), and a small bag of adjustment tools. Asking €2.300 --> €1500 I am located in the Netherlands, but shipping is possible at buyers risk.

That's probably a reason why there are so few; anyone looking in the Jackson direction probably isn't looking for a traditional jazz 😉 This is a very good alternative for a j-deluxe version of a well known brand though. I like the playability and sound of this Jackson better than similar usa Fenders of that era that I've played.
