Now he only has a rebadged Squier up: https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/muziek-en-instrumenten/snaarinstrumenten-gitaren-elektrisch/m1709869832-fender-stratocaster-60-look-squier-elektrische-gitaar-set.html Mostly he has about 3/4 faked instruments for sale. Reporting him to the site for selling counterfeits on large scale doesn't help unfortunately.

I think this Fender "repair" decals are rarely used in the way they are supposed to. Of course they are great if you are actually restoring an instrument. But there are many, many, many faked up cheapos that end up being offered (if not from the first, than from a second or later owner) as real. There is a lot of pollution of the market, and a serious problem for those that don't know all about the details. On the large Dutch online marketplace there is a dude who is constantly selling rebadged cheapos (at medium price, but still too much) and his instruments turn up regularly as real or "don't know if it's completely real" fender from later owners..

(partial) trades are welcome. Stuff you can think of; precision (fender, better Squier, good Japanese copy), music man Sabre (rosewood or ebony fretboard preferred), vintage single coil telecaster bass, stingray 2eq with lacquered neck, good old japanese stuff, vintage Fender offset guitars, maybe a nice amp... In case if a very nice and light 60s fender p is being offered, I might want to add some gear to the deal. No 5+ strings for me, thanks. Realistic offers only please.

Fender CS masterbuilt jazz bass Very nice Mark Kendrick masterbuilt 66 jazz with very cool features; firemist gold finish, lollipop tuners and the distinct dotted and bound fretboard. The bass has the clear and warm sound that you wish from a 60s style jazz bass. First some pictures: As you can see, the bass has been used a lot, which has created a roadworn look through the years. It has a lot of cosmetical damages like dents and missing finish, bucklerash.. Technically the bass is good, all hardware and electronics function like they should. The frets show wear, but it doesnt affect playability. The original G&G hardcase is included, as well is a bag of unopened case candy. The certificate apparently got lost during the divorce of the former owner, so I don't have it. New Fender nps strings are fitted. I bought this beauty a month ago as roundwounded buddy for my 71 (which bears thomastik flats). After playing them both a lot, I decided that I like the thomastik flats better on a jazz currently than a set of rounds. So both ended up with a set of Thomastiks, which makes it too much luxury for me to keep them both. I'm pretty sure I'll l regret it at some point.. Fixed price €2.850 (please note that I am not interested in lower offers of any kind). The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk and expense. Payment: cash on collection or banktransfer. No PayPal. (partial) trades are welcome. Maybe a silly suggestion, but did you try the other input?

Most JV squiers for sale are way overpriced IMO, because everybody is looking at other (overpriced) listings which they refer to. It's not unusual to see them for sale at €1500.. I'd rather have an American Vintage and save a little cash.. Those JVs are good basses generally, but I don't think they are necessarily much better than later Japanese squiers/fenders, mex classic or roadworn series or maybe even Squier cv basses.

It's indeed a very nice sounding instrument. It can sound very classic, but pretty modern too with both pickups engaged. My favorite sound is with both pickups open, with the tone rolled off on the bridge pickup. The tapewound strings were already fitted when I bought it, and they actually sound very good on this bass. I've never tried those before.

This ones were made in a 100-piece batch in 2006, so I assume Mr Kendrick has had a little help to get the job done. Its obvious that this jazz has been loved and played a lot, as it already has a roadworn look. Especially on the back there is a lot of playwear/bucklerash. I don't mind the roadworn look at all, but I can imagine it lowers the value somewhat. I 'll upload a few pics this weekend. When looking at the prices of original 66 dots and binding jazzes, I think this one is my best bet within my financial range. And of course the color kicks.

Update: I bought the jazz. It took a while before I gathered all info I wanted, but the bass is totally legit. It has MK stamp in the neck pickup cavity and signatures on the neck and in the neck pocket. All other markings are there too. The seller (a small vintage bass shop) is trying to get the certificate (he knows the guy he got it from). It's probably left behind in the house of his ex wife where he left, and it wasn't a friendly split apparently.... So we'll see. Anyway, it's a superb bass with a very even and musical tone. I've fitted it with fender nps rounds, as my other jazz already has (thomastik) flats fitted. Both are nice varieties.

Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro Its truly a great bass with a very good sound and easy playability. It has been set up with fresh Fender rounds (low action). The fretwork is good and the neck is a joy to play. The bass sounds the deal with flats too, but I like it with rounds a little more. I've played a few of the earlier thunderbirds, and there is no comparing; this one feels and sounds way, way better to me. I bought the Bird and the case new about a year ago, and haven't used it much since. I think I got it out about 10 times, as I happen to play my Fender type basses mostly. The bass looks like new and doesn't have any damages. The case has some marks from moving around, but hasn't seen any action. I am offering this bass with mixed feelings. On the one hand it's a great piece, and on the other hand it does deserve better than being a case queen. Expect to pay €750 for this bass +case when new. My fixed price: €550 The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk and costs. I am not interested in trades or lower offers.

Beautiful Overwater fretless bass, custom made for the original owner around 2005. The bass has a stunning quilted maple top and a nice green/blue burst finish. The fretboard is made of ebony. It's an active bass. Pics: There are several cosmetic damages to be found around the bass; dents, scratches, missing paint chips; battle scars. The fretboard shows signs of use but is definitely in very good condition. All hardware and electronics function like they should. The bass plays very well and has plenty of the mwah you want from a decent fretless. An original, high quality Overwater gigbag/softcase is included. It's in reasonable condition with some loose stitching at the front pocket. €1.150 Trades are welcome. Fretted basses, or a cool amp (Ampeg V4 or pf50t, ashdown low watts tube per example), fender American vintage strat... I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk (insured, well packed)
