  1. Relisted: Fender Mustang Bass 1970 For sale is my great vintage ’70 Mustang Bass in a sought after competition red finish with matching headstock. The bass is all original as far as I can tell, and is fitted with an uncommon pinkish pearl pickguard (as sometimes found on instruments from this era). The serial number says it’s from 1970, which seems consistent with the matching headstock. The pots date back to week 51 of 1970. I don’t have a picture of the pickup bottoms; the pickguard is partly stuck to the body, and I don’t want to force things when taking it off. The solder joints are untouched. This bass has been used, and it has small damages and usermarks all around. Nothing serious though, it’s in a very good vintage condition considering the age. All hardware and electronics are functional. Two of the tuners are a bit stiff and might want some lubrication. The neck is straight, adjustable, and the frets are in good condition. I’ve added an angled shim to get the action lower while retaining a good breaking angle. It’s a very comfortable playing bass. Weight is 3,6kg on my kitchen scales. The bass is fitted with LaBella flats. The best choice for these basses imo, they bring a lot of character. Included is the original "salt ’n pepper" Victoria hardcase. Without any doubt this is the best Mustang Bass I've ever played. Though I have to offer it for sale due to other choices/purchases. It probably will be withdrawn from sale if I manage to sell some other stuff first. €4500 Partial trades are negotiable; fiver with narrow stringspacing, Modulus Quantum 34" scale or earlier Flea, stratocaster/jazzmaster or other offset guitar, Rickenbacker 4001, Epiphone sj200 acoustic... otherwise surprise me. The only 1-1 trade (or even with added gear from my side) I'd be interested in could be a '60s (refin) fender P or J. I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk. Upfront payment methods are the only ones accepted; cash on collection, banktransfer or PayPal as a gift.
  2. Seller means that the bass+shipping are included in this price. Any additional costs from the uk government are aside of this.
  3. I don't have a problem if a shop buys something from me at the price I'm happy with. Yes they will make some money on it, but that is how they survive. It only feels weird when they act like a private person when showing interest. Not too long ago I got an offer (below my already decent price) from an (inactive) member on here. This guy appeared to be a private person for the first messages, until he directed me to the bass gallery website for possible trade options. It doesnt bother me much, but I think naming your shop in the username and/or conversation would be the right/transparent thing to do as a business.
  4. Price dropped significantly. No trades based on this price. Partial trade of a much cheaper instrument (bass or guitar) is considered though, but it has to be a decent offer.
  5. Modulus Quantum 4 For sale or trade is this beautiful Modulus Quantum 4 with a nice cherry burst finish and stunning quilted maple top. Preamp and pickups are made by Bartolini. The preamp functions are; volume, pickup selector, mids, bass/treble stacked. Mini switches are for active/passive and mid frequency selection. The preamp output can be controlled by a trimpot. The bass is in very good used condition with a few small damages and usermarks. The scale is 35", which is a bit too much for me. I can’t find the strap pins (Dunlop flush mount) so those are not included. They are easily available though. Fixed price for cash sale €2450 I’d happily trade this beauty for a similar 34"scale Quantum or earlier Flea model. I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk. Upfront payment methods only.
  6. Okay, I´ll drop a little more to €4300, as long as my Alembic hasn´t sold. It´s very unlikely that you will find a competion mustang with matching headstock +ohsc in this condition at this price point.
  7. Modulus BassStar SP24 1989 For sale is my beautiful Modulus Bassstar with Koa body. These are pretty rare. The bass has been used a lot, which shows. The body has a lot of small damages, playwear and usermarks. The neck is in good condition. All hardware and electronics (vol, pickup select, bass/treble) work like they should. Playability is good. It’s quite a light instrument with its 3,8kg. Fixed low price €1700 I am located in the Netherlands. Pickup is preferred, but I could ship anywhere at buyers risk and expense.
  8. Very nice. I'd happily own a ripper or g3 again. Decent price for nowadays too. Glwts
  9. I'm pretty sure this will be a great bass at a great price!
  10. Not sure what is considered heavy or light for this bass, but I think it's around 4.2kg.
  11. Fender Nate Mendel Precision Bass from 2012. The bass has been used, so has user marks on top of the relic. The frets show some wear, but the bass plays fine with a low action. The pickup has been replaced with a Fender USA original pickup, which sounds great. It has been set-up with La Bella flats, a great match in my opinion. I have the Foo Fighters neckplate included, and a tort scratchplate (fits well, has a broken tip). Fixed price €975 I am located in the Netherlands. Try out and pickup is possible of course, but shipping is no problem too (buyers risk). No trades please, I'm trying to downsize:)
  12. I've actually seen it before on mid '70s Fenders... Could be a case of lazy routing. Any pictures of the neck pocket should help with the determination.
  13. I'm pretty sure those are 42mm and 19mm. Will check this weekend.
