  1. Come on, you only live twice! Near offers, partial trades.... A lot is possible ladies and gentlemen! Tnx☺️
  2. Music Man Stingray 30th Anniversary Up for sale is a great Stingray. It's a 30th anniversary model from 2006. Apparently these are scarce, as only 783 were produced. The body is made of mahogany, which is unusual for a Music Man. The neck is made of a high grade figured maple. Stunning! The body and neck are completely finished in a transparent crimson red. Picture time: Its a great, open sounding Ray. I've had a few and played a bunch, and this is definitely one of the best sounding I've encountered. It even sounds great with dead strings! The Ray is in good shape. It has its user marks, but nothing serious. It's mostly surface scratching and a dent at the bottom. The original tolex hardcase is included. The bass is now fitted with fresh DR fat beams. Asking €1.550 (which is around £1395 nowadays) The bass is located in the Netherlands, but could be shipped fully insured within europe/UK. Reasonable cash offers and partial trades are considered. No 1-1 trades, unless you have a vintage mustang bass to offer.
  3. Just weighed the bass. My kitchen scale says it's 3,8 kilo's.
  4. Well, buy that additional 410! 😉
  5. You'll be fine with the 210, if you play at moderate volume. But a 4x10 with the amp running at 2ohms will of course give you a little more Nothing wrong with those Peavey 410s (tvx, txf), and they're cheap!
  6. Hi you lovely people! I've purchased an old HD-150 head with the matching 212rh cabinet. The amp hasn't been used for a while, so I will have it checked before using in my band (of course I did a test run, and it sounds great with my Gibson Ripper!) . As the tubes are old, I'll replace them for a fresh start. The tubes mounted now are Sylvania STR387. On the net, there is a lot to read about tubes in this amp. Thing is that I read different things; some people say they use 6L6, and others say you need 6L6GC type tubes that take higher voltage. Anyone knowing the truth here? 🙂 Also, I have an additional question: On the back of the amp is a label that says the speaker outputs are wired in series. Does this mean I can connect 2 4Ohm cabs when setting the amp at 8Ohm? the 212RH should be 4, which means I could add another one if it might pop up at one time.
  7. Just when I decided that the jazz bass sound didnt cut it for me bandwise, ive got a ´78 jazz ´per accident´. I thought id try a set of TI flats that I had lying around. You only live once right? Id say it is really a great match! Those strings really bring out a lot of character. I still love the typical jazz bass with fresh rounds sound, but at the moment TI flats are a revelation to me. I tried fender flats on a jazz bass before too; those sounded good, but not as characterfull as the Thomastiks.
  8. There are some lovely sparkling rays out there 🙂
  9. Shouldn't be much different from inland shipping right? Eurosender offer a great service (ime) at a good price, fully insured. Anyway, GLWTS of your nice looking and good priced ray!
  10. I was looking for a good Music Man for a while, that needed to have a lacquered neck. I don't like the oiled ones as much.. Today I went for a drive to pick up this 30th anniversary model! Its such a beautiful bass... Tommorow I'll be done with the set up and give it a spin. I haven't heard it with proper fresh strings yet, but it sounded great already with dead rounds. So I guess flats would sound great too. First I'll mount a set of fat beams for full Stingray aggression
  11. That looks really really great! It oozes that 70s Fender vibe, though probably with a better build quality👍
  12. Gibson EB-3L 1974/1975 Up for sale is a very cool longscale version of the Gibson EB-3. It´s hard to read the serial number bacause of the lacquer, but I think it reads 506749, which would make it a 1974/1975. There weren´t too much of these basses sold apprantly (782 finished in walnut between 1971-1977), which makes them pretty scarce. Some pictures: Overall shape of the bass is good. The neck is straight and well adjustable, and the frets are in good condition too (refret). All hardware and electronics work like they should. Of course the bass has gathered some minor damages in it´s 45 years of existense. The strapbutton near the neck has probably been relocated a few times, which left a few extra holes. The strapbuttons mounted are not original, but I have a new set of original Gibson strapbuttons that I will include in the sale. This bass has a lovely neck that plays great. It has Fender flatwounds 45-100 mounted for a characterfull sound, the EB-3L loves flats :). Soundwise this bass is a great fit for classic rock per example. Ive played it mainly in position one with only the neck pickup engaged, I liked that one the most. Because of the relocated pickup poistion of the 70s models, they sound more defined than an EB3 with the pickup closer to the neck. My experience is a comparision with an epiphone EB3, which got lost in my band´s sound. This EB-3L didn´t. As much as I like this bass, I don´t really need it in my band. So it may shift to compensate for the Stingray I purchased. Im asking €1.400 (which is about 1.250 gbp) The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship wthin Europe/UK. Costs wil be from around 35 euro´s and up, depending on location and insurance. Please do not hestitate to contact me if you have any questions. No 1-1 trades please. I might consider partial trades though. I could use a good fretless (blade or fender JB special per example).
