Guild S60D Lovely electric Guild from 1978. This guitar sounds great and plays smoothly with a low action. It has a lovely neck. Pictures: As you can see, the guitar has collected a lot of small damages in its 40 years of existence. A wing of the headstock has been broken once, but repaired ages ago and stable since. The hardcase pictured is not included in the sale, simply because the guitar doesn't fit in it. The guitar will be well packed for shipping though. Price: €750 (which is about £680 nowadays) Shippingcosts (fully insured) will be €50,00 to most countries.

Music Man HD-150 question (replacing tubes)
SurroundedByManatees replied to SurroundedByManatees's topic in Amps and Cabs
Thanks. I ordered a set of 6L6GC meanwhile which should be right :). -
Music Man Stingray 30th Anniversary Up for sale is a great Stingray. It's a 30th anniversary model from 2006. Apparently these are scarce, as only 783 were produced. The body is made of mahogany, which is unusual for a Music Man. The neck is made of a high grade figured maple. Stunning! The body and neck are completely finished in a transparent crimson red. Picture time: Its a great, open sounding Ray. I've had a few and played a bunch, and this is definitely one of the best sounding I've encountered. It even sounds great with dead strings! The Ray is in good shape. It has its user marks, but nothing serious. It's mostly surface scratching and a dent at the bottom. The original tolex hardcase is included. The bass is now fitted with fresh DR fat beams. Asking €1.550 (which is around £1395 nowadays) The bass is located in the Netherlands, but could be shipped fully insured within europe/UK. Reasonable cash offers and partial trades are considered. No 1-1 trades, unless you have a vintage mustang bass to offer.

You'll be fine with the 210, if you play at moderate volume. But a 4x10 with the amp running at 2ohms will of course give you a little more Nothing wrong with those Peavey 410s (tvx, txf), and they're cheap!

Hi you lovely people! I've purchased an old HD-150 head with the matching 212rh cabinet. The amp hasn't been used for a while, so I will have it checked before using in my band (of course I did a test run, and it sounds great with my Gibson Ripper!) . As the tubes are old, I'll replace them for a fresh start. The tubes mounted now are Sylvania STR387. On the net, there is a lot to read about tubes in this amp. Thing is that I read different things; some people say they use 6L6, and others say you need 6L6GC type tubes that take higher voltage. Anyone knowing the truth here? 🙂 Also, I have an additional question: On the back of the amp is a label that says the speaker outputs are wired in series. Does this mean I can connect 2 4Ohm cabs when setting the amp at 8Ohm? the 212RH should be 4, which means I could add another one if it might pop up at one time.

Just when I decided that the jazz bass sound didnt cut it for me bandwise, ive got a ´78 jazz ´per accident´. I thought id try a set of TI flats that I had lying around. You only live once right? Id say it is really a great match! Those strings really bring out a lot of character. I still love the typical jazz bass with fresh rounds sound, but at the moment TI flats are a revelation to me. I tried fender flats on a jazz bass before too; those sounded good, but not as characterfull as the Thomastiks.

EBMM Stingray 3EQ 2004 - Desert Gold - WITHDRAWN

I was looking for a good Music Man for a while, that needed to have a lacquered neck. I don't like the oiled ones as much.. Today I went for a drive to pick up this 30th anniversary model! Its such a beautiful bass... Tommorow I'll be done with the set up and give it a spin. I haven't heard it with proper fresh strings yet, but it sounded great already with dead rounds. So I guess flats would sound great too. First I'll mount a set of fat beams for full Stingray aggression

NBD: MIJ Fender P Bass circa 1991/2
SurroundedByManatees replied to silverfoxnik's topic in Bass Guitars
That looks really really great! It oozes that 70s Fender vibe, though probably with a better build quality👍- 32 replies
