  1. That's great looking! A dan Smith era copy with 60s pickup spacing🤗 It wouldn't look half that good without the white pickup covers. Slap on some covers and it looks pretty close to my 82: This bass has nothing to do with lightweight though; it's 11lbs.
  2. In my hunt for a Gibson G3, Paul contacted me. He offered me exactly what I'm looking for. This bass was for sale here earlier, but couldn't buy it at that time. So I was happy that it popped up in front of me, at a fair price and with the possibility of shipping. Paul arranged the shipping, packed well, and kept in touch with updates meanwhile. Yesterday the bass arrived in the Netherlands after just 2 days. Thanks again Paul. I'm really happy to have a (black) G3 back😎👍
  3. Some people don't care for that. If someone doesn't care for it, it's possible. Though it wouldn't be necessarily my choice. Most of the basses I've sold and shipped didn't have any case. I remove the neck for shipping then for solid packing. It's about 2/3 cheaper in shippingcosts.
  4. The bass can also be purchased without the case which will reduce the price a little and gives a possibility of cheaper shipping.
  5. Thanks people! And thanks Silver´. The Yamaha was not meant to go already. But I got a response for my Gibson G3 search earlier than I expected.....I couldnt refuse that one. My bank account is a little hungry now, so something has to shift. There is little actual interest in the Musician, so I am trying to sell the Yam now. To be honest I dont think I will miss it as I still have a precision special and a Squier Bullet for my P-like needs😊 I actually didnt need this BB in the first place, but GAS forced me to purchase it. The Musician might be withdrawn if this one sells, and the Yam might be withdrawn if the Musician sells. Cheers
  6. Lovely vintage Yamaha BB1000 in natural finish: This bass dates from 1978 according to the serial number. Of course this '78 BB looks great with its natural finish and black pickguard. It has a nice (presumably) macassar ebony fretboard and classy inlays. This bass plays and sounds just great. It has a fat neck profile which will not be anyone's taste, though it's lovely if you like it. In its 40 years of existence, this BB has been well used. There are a lot of user marks to be found. It has some fretwear, but the neck can be played with low action. Technically the bass is all fine, the neck is straight and well adjustable. As you can see from the pictures, the screw on the E tuner is not original. It's now fitted with rotosound rounds. The original hardcase is included in the sale. I bought this bass not too long ago from another BC member, as a bit of an impulsive purchase because it looks so damn fine. This really is a great bass, but I do not actually need it. Besides that, I just purchased a bass that I was really looking out for. I'm looking to get back what I spent on this bass: €675 The bass is located in the Netherlands. I am happy to ship within Europe/UK at buyers risk and expense. No trades, thanks.
  7. Fender N3 Jazz Bass pickups These came out of a American Deluxe Fender Jazz. They are in good working order and look clean too. I'd like to get €80,00 for the set (I also have the original Fender USA deluxe preamp that I might be prepared to sell along)
  8. From what I've read it's actually a thin foil that has been wrapped around the body to have it flamed. After that, the lacquer got applied. I owned 2 of these basses. One had a lot of cracks in the finish, which is pretty common for this range.
  9. I wish I still had my Fender P deluxe V to offer! Those Fenders are great versatile basses too, you won't be disappointed once you have one.
  10. Fender '62RI jazzmaster CIJ Up for sale or trade is my jazzmaster. It plays very easily and looks and sounds great, but I do not need it at the moment. As a bass player which plays guitar occasionally, 1 electric is enough. This guitar is crafted in Japan. It's a great looking guitar, with a nice piece of wood used for the body. It has a tight neck-pocket fitting as you can see on the pictures. This JM is very well built. The overall condition is very good. There is a little bit of fret wear, which doesn't affect playability. It is really easy playing with low action. Further there are some small cosmetic damages, but nothing worth mentioning. I've installed a allparts buzzstop for more pressure from the strings on the saddles. I'm asking €800 Trades concerning bass gear are welcome. I'll be especially interested in a Gibson G3 bass or a pretty early 90s Stingray with lacquered neck. I've got some more stuff to add in a trade if needed. The guitar is located in the Netherlands, but can be shipped with europe/uk. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions.
  11. The best finish for a MM in my opinion. Lovely. I prefer the lacquered necks too.
  12. That looks awesome, especially with that white pickup cover. Would perfectly fit my 80s fenders
  13. Fender JMJ Mustang Bass I bought this nice little fella (purchased new) a few months back. I really like it, but don't use it that much actually. Other basses fit the band sound better overall, so it's a bass I'm only enjoying at home. I'm starting to miss my old Gibson G3 bass, so I want to give it a try to see I can get one through a trade as I have no cash to spend. Ideally a little beat up (but technically perfect) ebony finished example with the original hardcase (just like the bass I miss ). This mustang is in great shape....I oiled the fretboard after the purchase, otherwise it's just like it arrived. It plays and sounds just great and all is working of course. You'll receive the digital invoice from me (concerning guarantee). I will also add a second set of Fender flatwound strings that also have been (shortly) used string through. Trade value: €900,- So tradewise I'm especially interested in a Gibson G3. Otherwise you may try to tempt me with the right Stingray (2eq, lacquered neck preferred), a bass from a USA brand who's name may not be mentioned here, or something extremely cool that doesn't come to my mind immediately. Edit: Please note the price in GBP wasn't entered correctly by me, should be 775. I can't change this.
