  1. Trade offers still welcome! I'm mainly looking for a great (early 70s player grade, sunburst-rosewood-tort ideally) precision or a mustang bass! Could add cash if needed.
  2. Best deal at the moment on BC. 500 for an ash bodied USA... Peanuts. Buy it now!! 🤯
  3. Does it play similar to a nate Mendel signature? These are supposed to be based on a 71
  4. Pretty much what I'm looking for (though this one exceeds my budget) . I would put the covers and thumb rest on it, lovely. Glwts
  5. Especially the natural with rosewood neck has a improved look to my taste
  6. I am willing to sell the loaded body and neck seperately. Though I would still prefer sale/trade as a complete bass. Trades or partial trades are welcome, I m also looking for electric guitar gear at the moment (I like Fender models mostly).
  7. Original Music Man Sabre loaded body from 1979. The bridge saddle from the A string is non original, as are the strapbuttons. The ones pictured in this ad have been replaced in the meanwhile with more correct looking ones. The body has a lot of user marks, so looks pretty roadworn:) I'm also selling this as a complete bass with a fretless ebmm Stingray neck. More pictures are available in that ad (listed on bc) or on request through Pm. Price for the loaded body: 900gbp Tradewise I am especially looking for a vintage Fender mustang or precision bass (late 60s/early 70s, low weight, prefer players grade at lower $), though I might be tempted by a vintage Jazz bass or early 80s Gold edition Jazz. Some money/gear could be added both ways if needed. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, or a trade offer that might be interesting.
  8. It appears I'm wrong about the threaded saddle bridge. Didn't know they came stock on these basses. I owned a 2003 that had a regular type bridge as seen on Mexican Fenders.
  9. Indeed it looks correct for a first run highway series. The threaded saddle bridge is a replacement though.
  10. Yes, flamed maple. Bidseye can look really great too.
  11. Thank you:) They are there. The picture appears to be a bit dark, my apologies. I tried to put them in an angle so that the classics neck wouldnt reflect to much😁
  12. My 2 for now:) A 79 sabre and a classic model stingray. The sabre is strung with Fender flats which makes the character really come out, especially with 2 pickups engaged. The brand new classic just arrived yesterday. Ive had it set up to my likings (nut needed to be leveled down) and it really plays great. Though I didnt have the chance to plug it in yet. My practice rig is now stored (after a small gig last weekend) at our bands rehearsel space, and I wont be able to play this beauty plugged before next monday😥
  13. Up for sale or trade: Music Man sabre '79 hybrid A hybrid of a 1979 Sabre bass with a 1990 fretless Stingray neck with schaller tuners. Its a perfect fit with the neckpocket. This one has the bullet trussrod, so no adjustments were made to the body. The bass plays and sounds great. Its currently fitted with flatwounds as I find it having a great character. And it plays smoother than rounds of course. The neck is straight and trussrod turns both ways with pleasure. It has a nice pao ferro fretboard and some birds eye in the maple! As you can see, this bass has seen some action. It has a lot of usermarks and lacquer damages. The bridge saddle from the A is non original, as are the strapbuttons. This bass really has some greats sounds in it, and actually I might miss it when swapping it. Though I will not use a fretless on stage in the near future, so will probably buy a much cheaper fretless and put the money for the sabre elsewhere. Ive still got a fretted sabre though:) The neck has been sold. I'm asking 900 gbp for the body. The bass is located in the Netherlands, but im happy to ship within europe at buyers risk. Tradewise i'm interested in (per example): mustang bass, Yamaha JB600r, fender bullet deluxe bass, perhaps the early 80s gold jazz bass (long shot!) or an other early 80s Fender jazz with dot n bound neck, Squier JV or sq, mustang guitar or similiar.... Realistic offers only please. Please do not hestitate to contact me if you have any questions or a good trade offer. Cheers
  14. These are great sounding and well built basses. I bought one as a replacement for my 71 telecaster bass. Im really satisfied with it. It had some upgrades though. The scpb-3 should be a valuable improvement on this bass. Glwts
  15. Tempting. I bet it sounds great with those emg pickups.
  16. Hows the fretboard? It appears to be a bit dry from the pics, cant judge well though. What a beautiful bass. Btw, Ive got an old Kawai catalogue with these basses in it. I could provide pics if someones interested.
  17. Great basses. Ive got a 83 sienna burst that I really like. Mine has the same tuners. Glwts
