Thanks. Initially i saw an '68 for sale here in the netherlands. It had the lovely lollipop tuners. Though it was a heavy one at 5kg. Not much later this lightweight '71 popped up on ebay uk.

'71 Telecaster: A very resonant lightweight example. Beefy neck, but it plays nicely with a low action. I have fender flats installed, which sound and feel great. Not too vintage:). Aerodyne special run: Bought just recently. These are nice allrounders. Light in weight and comfortable to play. This is from a limited run in old candy apple red. '82 Precision special And my Precision special that seems to be moving to a new owner one of these days. Its a great sounding, playing bass. A bit heavy though. These are very well built.

Music Man Sabre Bass '79 Cool old Music Man Sabre, made in 1979. Serial number C003876. The sounds of this Sabre really kicks donkey, it has a great full agressive sound I really like. Its just awesome through my ebs fafner with eden 210xlt. I find it a much more versatile bass than the stingray. Of course it can sound like a ray (at least to my ears) with only the bridge pickup active, and bass and treble boosted. The neck pickup adds some nice, warmer other sound possibilities. This sabre almost reaches the age of 40 years, so it has its wear from decades of use. Most visible is the buckle wear on the back of the body. Further on there are several smaller damages on several places of the body. Fine lacquer cracking is to be found at sides of most frets. The bridge saddle of the A string had been replaced by a previous owner. Though I really dig the sounds coming from the sabre, I find it not as comfortable to play as my fenders. The (kinda undeep, 42mm at the nut) neck doesnt feel as it was made for me, cant really explain why...I like the fenders better. Besides that I like a low action (I play with a soft touch), and action on this one doesnt get as low as on my tele or jazz which I play most of the time. So thats why Im thinking about selling it. The sabre has gotten a full fret leveling/dressing by a professional luthier earlier this year. The sabre weighs about 4.5 kg. No case or bag is included in the sale. Though it might be possible to buy along a fender case when the bass must be shipped. Update; ive noted that the truss rod bullet has been worn out. So it needs replacement. These bullets are available through ernie ball customer service. The bass is fitted with labella flats at the moment. Pricedrop: £1.450 ----> £1.350 The Music Man is located in the Netherlands. Several shipping options possible at buyers risk Sensible (partial) trade offers are considered. Per example; 4 string precision, avri 64 jazz, musicman w/ lacquered neck, early 80s Fender jazz with dot n bound neck, mustang bass, other cool traditional style basses, amps, pedals (compressor), possibly a fender jaguar/mustang type guitar.... Or maybe even a cool late 60s fender P or J, combined trade with one of my other basses. Please do not hestitate to contact me if you have any questions or a specific and realistic partial trade offer.

Fender '82 Precision Special Great american made Fender precision special. And its a special thing indeed, this first active bass from Fender. It doesnt only look awesome, but it also plays very well with a low action and sounds great. In passive mode it sounds as to be expected from a good precision. With the 2eq preamp enganged you can produce a wide range of impressive sounds by boosting/cutting the lows and the highs. Build quality of this bass is very good. Ive had a late 70s precision at the same time last year and compared them side by side. Both sounded great, but this P special was an obvious winner concerning build quality. Fit and finish (neck pocket, pickguard) are great with no large gaps. With the special, the precision basses also got their elegant contours back like in the 60s. The late 70s P I compared it with had much lesser rounded contouring. The neck on this Fender plays very nicely. It has a rather wide profile, but the neck is not to chunky. The neck had its frets levelled last year and now plays lovely with a low action. Its obvious that this was not just the next fender follow-up production made of leftover parts, but Fender really wanted to introduce an impressive instrument. Ive read somewhere on the www that these were made by a small team that would later basically become the custom shop. Im not sure if its true, but found it worth mentioning:). The special is not a featherweight though, it weighs about 5kg. The bass is used but not abused. It has its usermarks, and a more obvious damage to the lacquer on the back. The neck also has some damage to the (edges of the) finish, but nothing unusual for a 36 years old instrument. Behind the base plates of the tuners, extra holes have been left from smaller tuners that once had been installed. The ear of the E tuner has been bowed. All hardware and electronics function as they should. All parts are original to my knowledge, except the top nut that has been renewed last year. An original vintage (late 70s I guess) Fender case is included in the sale. It has "Iron Maiden" logo applied on it, looks to be done with nail polish. New dean markley blue steel strings have been installed. I purchased a nice lightweight single coil telecaster bass about 2 months ago, that pretty much replaced this precision since. So id rather move it on (read; exchange for something different) than keeping it stored. Fixed price: £1.450 I'm not interested in lower offers. Trades/partial trades might be considered: I'm mainly interested in 60s specd Fender jazzes (anything from mex roadworn and up, weight of max 4,2kg) or similiar. Though other (classic styled) basses may also have my attention, like mustang bass, jazz bass special, (metallic colours), rickenbacker, old gibson.... The bass is located in the Netherlands. Will ship within the EU at buyers risk and expense. Feel free to contact me through PM if you have any questions.
