    I've read the specs on both on the Ashdown website, but what's the basic sound difference between the two ? The ABM range has a better sensitivity rating, but the MAG cabs go lower. It's the 4x10 cabs that I'm specifically interested in.

    I've done A/B tests with different cables and there is a 'hearable' difference. I did a couple of gigs last year with a fairly well known guitarist and he used Pete Cornish cables. We did a comparison with my Evidence audio cables, and a few others that I'd got, a Zaollo and a Vovox. There was definitely a difference in tone between each one. You wouldn't notice it on the everage gig, but possibly on recordings you may.

    I have a Boss GT6B that I recently acquired. I couldn't decide whether to go for seperate pedals or a multi, and I went multi but wish that I'd gone for seperate pedals. So this is for sale. Comes complete with a new Gator bag, power supply and a copy of the user manual. £120 plus postage. Trades welcome for an EBS Dynaverb, Chorus or Multicomp.

You had to say how many parts made up a Jaydee MK bass, and there were anagrams of bass players names that you had to decipher (that was the 1st time I'd heard of Marcus Miller). I still have the magazine somewhere.

    Made by Castle cases in Tamworth last year for an Aguilar AG500 head. I've also used it to house an EA iAmp800, and I'm sure it'll accommodate pretty much any bass amp head. Standard 19" case, the front to back measures 35cm with 4cm in each lid to allow for protruderances (my spell check says there's no such word, but I like it ). In good condition. £50 plus postage or you can collect it from my parents house in Birmingham.

    A bit like this one, mines a slightly older model without the trigger things. It was bought for £100 at Christmas and is like new. There was a problem with the little board so it was replaced with a new speakon output wired direct. It'd be a simple matter to add another Speakon output, I've seen wiring diagrams on the interent, I've just never had the need to add another. No, it was bought in a private sale. I've done dozens of gigs with it and it's performed perfectly everytime. I'm using it tonight for a gig, I wouldn't if there was any doubt over it.

    I've had it for about 12 months and I've used it loads with my Acme cab, it really sounds great through it. I'd like to get something smaller for touring though, possibly a Markbass LMII. It comes with an EA soft case and the rack ears. It's in great cosmetic condition and works perfectly. However the previous owner had a problem with it and consequently it only has one Speakon output instead of the usual two. I haven't found this to be a problem though due to my Acme Low B2 being a 4 ohm cab. I'd like £300 for it which I feel is a great price. Postage to the UK should be about £20 or you can collect it from my parents house in Birmingham. Trades welcome for a Markbass LMII plus cash from me.

    I bought this from a friend just before Christmas. I'd planned on buying and using effects pedals but I've had a change of mind and I'm going to stick with using a multi-effects unit. They're not even playing the same sport.[/quote] I've played 3 Shukers, nice basses but they all felt kind of 'stiff' (for want of a better word), it's hard to put into words but they weren't 'inspiring'. I've played a couple of Fodera basses (very nearly bought one of 'em), they both played like a dream. Totally different class of instrument. But you could (I would anyway) say that Fenders and Musicman basses are way over priced for what they are. Basically a mass produced mostly machine made instrument.
