Would you say that your Evidence cables are better than the Chords because they are more expensive?
No, price doesn't come into it, it's the quality of the thing that counts. I've tried the chord cables and really liked them, I've used Zaolla too and liked them. The EA cables are no better or worse, I just like them.
2.
With the great smell of snake oil mmmmmmm
Try a decent and therefore expensive cable first and then say that .
3. Ampeg with a double bass sounds a bit bizarre. You'd usually want something to reproduce the sound of the DB as accurately as possible. I have a load of gear that I can use, but I find my EA iAmp into my Acme B2 to be the most versatile. It's very compact, loud and accurate. The EA's EQ section is probably the most versatile on any amp, and can make the Acme sound like anything else.
4. I bought this from a friend just before Christmas. I'd planned on buying and using effects pedals but I've had a change of mind and I'm going to stick with using a multi-effects unit. It's this sort of thing http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...s/overview.html It's in really good condition. I paid £50 for it and I'd like to get that back, plus postage which is about £10, or you can collect it from my parents house in Birmingham.
5. I use an EA iAmp 800 with my Acme Low B2 and it sounds brilliant. Plenty loud enough for most occassions, but I tend to so big shows with full PA or very small jazz things, but I've never had to turn it up much past halfway.
6. I'm sure that someone was advertising on 'Wal basses naturally' for a Wal 5 string with an ebony board a week or so ago.
7. I'm after just one unit that has effects and a looper. Sorry I wasn't too clear in my original post.
8. I'm after an effects unit that does looping. I saw Michael Manring last year, and he was using one of these and it sounded really nice.
9.
It's a good point. Perhaps the code/rule should be that you can only comment on a feedback thread if you have entered into a deal with the person in question? The opinions and rhetoric in the above posts have likely damaged the reputations of both parties, and it's quite possible that neither is actually to blame. C Chris
I have to say that I'd be careful who I sold to this looks odd to me but I think I'd be happy buying from Mr SSB judging from his previous form. And he has sold some nice stuff.
10.
I'm sorry, but you're really out of order here.
I have to say that this sort of thread highlights a major problem with the feedback on this site. Why should feedback be open for everyone to jump in on and add to ? It turns into a witch hunt which is unfair IMO. The way feedback is done on Talkbass is far better, again IMO. Why is the guy above "out of order" ? He has a point. Your mate, I take it he is your mate ? He failed to notice the fault, he appears to have had the bass for quite a long time before you told him it was faulty. So why can't everyone accept that the seller might also have not noticed the fault too ? I've looked at Mr SSB's feedback and he seems to have sold quite a few items on here and on Talkbass with no problems. He also says that he welcomed people to come to his house and try the bass. That doesn't strike me to be the actions of someone who is trying to knowingly sell something that's got a fault. Did Mr Rudun maybe get a soldering iron for christmas

19. Bump and a price drop.
20. I just got one. I usually use a rack I have a couple of rackmount effects units, but I don't use them for every gig. I fancy using a gigbag or something for the LMII. What does everyone use ? Space for leads and cables too would be useful. Thanks !
21. I just swapped the ACG from my Sei. I found it colours the sound too much. They are great preamps, and gave some really great sounds. But you do lose the 'sound of your bass'. There's no flat and there's no bypass either so make sure that you check the battery regularly.
22. I only just got the LM2 yesterday. I'm very tempted to keep this to be honest and get another too.
23. Bump for the photos. Asyou can see, it's in good condition. Some slight scuffs on the corner protectors but the front grille is perfect. I've kept it flightcased during transportation, the case can be included for an extra £85.
