  1. That must sound very cool with the subharmonic activated 👍 my fav is the classic preamp pedal and the optocomp but only use those with either of my TC electronic heads 👍
  2. It’s my first octaver too so finding out a little bit by bit. It’s great value for money and pretty cool at doing what it does. My only negative is that sometimes it lags a little.
  3. No point in a preamp when you have that particular monster at hand 🤘My latest acquisition arrived yesterday and because it’s digital, that is my reason behind the preamp.
  4. Excellent I totally adore my iso2. Been working more on the Ampeg pedals, the optocomp is superb but the classic preamp is outstanding! You really can hear the difference it makes between it going in dry and the effect it creates when activated. The scrambler is getting better by the day. It holds onto the bass signal well producing lots of low end while not getting caught up in the mid mush of distortion and as I said previously, the blend control is a masterstroke in allowing you to control the overdrive signal mixed in with the low end.
  5. What are they? Love HiFi and fan of big floor standing speakers 👍
  6. Pix or doesn’t exist! 😂
  7. If it’s an 84, is it a BB300/400/800/1100/1600/2000/3000? if we can get that information, he’ll get a better valuation 👍
  8. I had 2 x Ampeg SVT-410e cabs, each weighed 41.5kg 😮
  9. It’s complete now 👍
  10. The Tribal Music Group who own Harley Benton also own TC Electronic, Behringer, Bugera and Turbosound so, I’m guessing the cabs although some fitted with Celestions, most will either be a Turbosound or derivative there of. From what I gather, the Bugera bass cabs are Turbosound loaded.
  11. I think HB use celestions or maybe like their sister company Bugera, probs turbo sound.
  12. I've decided to go one further on my board. Having just seen this: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_custom_line_thunder_99.htm I began to think about amping up my board as part of the board, but would have to be inclusive of headphone socket for silent practice and also if needed, enough watts for rehearsals or small gigs. There is a lot out there to choose from so, looking at all available power amp pedals and weeny amps, I decided upon the TC Bam 200. Will easily fit on the board and be enough to do what I need in small situations.
  13. The TC Nether is something else for its price given TC push the sub n up pretty hard. What does the source audio do, looks awesome 👏
  14. Definitely re the HB, Optocomp and Classic, the scrambler is good but very subtle re overdrive however, the blend control on it is a master stroke. I also own the EBS Billy Sheehan deluxe preamp, as good as it is, I’m just not overly convinced by any overdrive/distortion pedal for bass.
  15. The HB power plant iso2-pro is awesome! Completely isolated and extremely quiet, worth £61 from Thomann. I already love the optocomp, classic preamp is amazing, working on the scrambler and the chorus is just what is 😎 with my US pbass through the classic preamp, optocomp & liquifier pedal, I swear I had Phil Lynotts bass sound on Jailbreak! All the Ampeg pedals are well made and sound great for the relatively cheap price 👍
  16. My board 😁
  17. I have a Bugera BV100T and absolutely love it! For me, it does Ampeg easily and has been extremely reliable thus far. Yeah the V$-B will likely be my next purchase
  18. I've never tried Markbass gear but the PFT50 works with my cabs: Hartke AK410, Hartke HD112 & TC Electronic BC208. It drives them all beautifully. I think the EQ will suit you on the PF50T as the mid range selector is cool and the high/low switching gives you access to deeper bass response through the EQ. It is incredibly clean in tone on start up, the rest is your preference.
  19. 100% agree, the guys at Ashdown are fantastic! Unfortunately my head is Ampeg voiced. The Classic blows me away every time I hear it and there is good reason for it being the staple diet of stages across the world. I had one but decided that the weight of it was just too much but and this is a baaaaad but, I'm thinking of another one 😮
  20. They are pretty cheap but effective like Bugera equipment. I work for a college, we bought in 8 Peavey Windsor valve guitar combos and the guitar head version of the V2B, everyone of them failed within the first year. Disappointing but what a sound when working.
  21. I have one and can honestly say, it is fantastic! I have practiced and gigged with it, it just works, is silent, plug n play and is plenty loud! It's like an SVT classic gone through the washing machine (not literally) and shrunk to fit perfect little monster.
  22. You're a git lol I had my credit card out there! Must resist, must resist!!!
  23. I know how that feels lol My middle kid, ripped a very expensive cartridge off my Linn Sondek at the time, I fixed it and sold the Linn at that point. However, all three are grown up and I can enjoy the full hifi experience again
  24. Superb turntables! are you playing it through the compact system on the left? If so, you oughta here the Rega with other separates, Wow!
  25. Nice Rega RP1 in the background 👍
