I love the attitude! It combines three of my favourite basses together: Telecaster, Precision and EB3L. Thunderous tone and and really articulate when rolling off the woofer pup. Great all rounder but not really a funk machine. Takes a wee while getting used to the neck but its great and you don't need to be good enough to enjoy it. andy

My band (now ex) moved out of the permanent practice room last Friday. A gentle transition in terms of me being edged out but have remained friends with the guys. The guys have joined another band to assist a young singer songwriter push on in his musical career. Good luck to them. Isn't my sort of stuff but its tight and sounds good. Anyhoo, thought I'd drop in a pic of both my rigs together. At least I've got an 810 again! lol I have wired the Attitude woofer to the 3pro and 410hlf cab and the p's up to the LH1000 and AK410 cab - sounds awesome! Andy
Its just a shame I dont or at least cant justify the use of it. But I honestly wont use it with the other 2 basses that I have. My go to bass is now my Ric and the Jag is used from time to time. However in the last 2weeks I have had a major change in circumstance. This has caused me to stop playing in my band as of last night. So lets face it 3 basses is a tad overkill for a man that wont be playing at rehearsals or gigs for the foreseeable future Depending on how things go the other 2 may be up for sale at some point in the not so distant future.
Don't give up Steve!

ON HOLD - my Yamaha BB3000 4 string fretless for your 5 string fretless
andy67 replied to markstuk's topic in Basses For Sale
That is beautiful! Selling price too low IMHO, the fretted version sells new for around £1500: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp.../BB3000_WR.html A secondhand one should fetch around the £600 mark. Wishing I had £300!!! -
Hi Tom, Yes, it is a bit tricky balancing possible values, isn't it. I searched the BC For Sale forum for CIJ/MIJ P's and also ATK 400's. No problem finding out about the P's - plenty of current and past examples at anywhere from £350 to £500. However, an ATK 400 is much more difficult to find. Ebay isn't much use either - I searched "Completed Listings" for an ATK 400 and found nothing. ATK 300's go fo £200+, and an ATK 700 went for £400. Putting the ATK 400 between these puts it around the value of some of the CIJ/MIJ P's, especially when you take into consideration the ATK 400 is now getting pretty hard to find and the one I have is in excellent condition. Your P sounds interesting. Do you want to swap photos? If you show me yours, I'll show you mine... Steve
Amazing instruments and made in Japan as far as I can recall. Bought mine in 2002, exactly same as yours for £400 new. However, back then you could tell these were worth more than the ticket price. £350 aint a terrible amount to ask for. Stunning! I miss mine
I tried a Hartke rig at a redeye studios in clydebank. Pretty impressed with the 4x10 and 1x15 i was using. A bit overkill for a rehearsal hall but it did remove all cobwebs hahaha. Is the rig portable compared to the 4x10hlf??????????
Considering dropping from the valve head and 810, the b410 is easily portable!! lol. The Hartke rig is very portable, the LH1000 head is marginally heavier than the 3pro however the AK410 weighs in at 60lbs and is amazingly portable.
Yeah its the bass Andy, they look the dogs danglys and I really fancy one of those white ones. So whats the Hartke gear you have ended up with? What ampeg stuff do you still have?
Hey Steve, I'll arrange for you to try it out sometime soon. They are ugly and play like pigs though!! I still have the b410hlf and the 3pro in the practice room. At home I have the LH1000 and AK410, gigged with this rig once and it was fantastic! Tone and volume aplenty!! You need to try it out.

Hey Steve, Is it a guitar or bass you are looking at? If its a bass then a very good friend of mine on here has one. Could arrange for you to try it out. By the way, loving the Hartke gear!!

I stick a bet on it being a fuse in the left output chain. unplug from mains, take off lid, locate glass fuse/s, check for burn out, if so? take ratings, buy new fuse/s, replace and job done! andy

ampeg b1-re, ashdown abm 300 or peavy tour 450???
andy67 replied to Mikethebass's topic in Amps and Cabs
Of my recent purchases, bang for buck would have to be the Hartke LH1000. S/H prices range from £250 - £350 but don't forget the LH500 which can be easily picked up for £200 (£299 new!!) The LH range are superb sounding powerhouses that really defy logic in terms of their pricing considering the high end LH1000 (current top of the range Hartke amp) costs as little as £519 whereas the bottom of the range Ampeg B2re is nearly £600 new. link: http://www.gak.co.uk/en/hartke-lh1000/25123 link: http://www.gak.co.uk/en/hartke-lh500/25125 Loads of sound samples on YouTube. andy -
Here I go again!, The AK410 is slightly smaller, lighter and more compact than the Hydrive 410. I reckon 2 x the AK410 would make a manageable medium sized rig. Oh and by the way, the guys at Hartke sure aint brain dead and definitely know their products! andy

AK 410 cab for me! £329 most places, 500w at 8 ohms and it weighs in at a paltry 60lbs. Keep the head change the cabs.

Be worth a mail to the member who sold you it. If it isn't standard, been dicked with and the seller didn't make you aware of any changes when buying?? Then, maybe he/she will split difference with repairs? Better still pay all repairs or refund you. andy
