9. check through previous threads and post in discussion forum because I recall some members having issues with thier new evo 2 just after purchase. cheers andy
10. I have two of these cabs. they are 500w, sound superb and matched with my svt 3pro (450w) give loads of volume. have you checked your: leads? iec cable? bass - if its active battery could be gone? does your amp have an ohms selector witch? an ashdown evo should power this no probs - try with another amp. the only other thing I could think of is that the output channel fuses may be on their way out on the evo. it is an easy fix if this is the case. andy
11. is it b series or svt? andy
12.
hmm, yeah as far as i was aware the speakers were made by an italian company (don't know who though) well here are 2 screen grabs from ashdowns website of the mag and the abm 10" drivers from the 2x10 combos, they certainly look different abm mag
so I see, however, the speakers in my mag 810 were the same as in pic 1.
13. go to sound control and haggle over the full range ampeg b410hlf cab its awsome! then sell your peavey cabs. adny
14.
oh there is a difference in the drivers used between the mag and abm range of cabs (yeah i know you are looking at the head but...) the abm seem to have a slightly better(?) cone, the outer ring is thicker and the inner voice coil dome is bigger what the exact tech differences are i dont know but both are very decent.
I phoned ashdown re this, they told me there was no difference in the speakers - catagorically! so who was i to argue with the very nice lady on the other end of the phone? I seem to have problems tracking down who makes blueline speakers...I was told it is celestion and that would back up her argument as they are made in China along with the mag stuff but...I did catch a web link that said they were made by an Italian company - cant remember who - got to the website no proof...
15. hmmm, sounds good! there seems to be quite a groundswell for ol' rockers returning!?
16. I'm just about to order one dood - so will let you know! andy
17. hey luke, if you want to try something a little different, somewhere in between a pbass and a monster...give me a shout, you could try out my Yamaha Attitude - its awsome but not for sale!! also hear my ampeg rig/s. I practice in Inch House community Centre at the back of Cameron Toll. andy
18. I prefer the ABM, only just though but I think its more to do with being made in the UK! I know the newer ones are being made in China. Both definitely have the Ashdown sound and sound great in their own right. The mag cabs are great value for money particularly the 810deep.
19. here's abit of constructive feedback! your starting price is too low!! great bass and worth at least another £150! cheers and good luck! andy
