Hello Andy
Peavey originally had these made in America and they were not cheap. They also had them made in Indonesia(hand crafted)
Gak sell the indonesian model at the moment for £294. Therefore Im open to offers on both basses, they are indeed remarkably well made, and of a quality you wouldnt expect for the price.
Hello MB1
that is what i recall - wonderful sounding and effortless to play!
what price this is!
Shouldn't take too long in selling. -
anyone got experience or information they could share in terms of performance and sound of these things?

aye yer right - I'm now even sicker I sold mine!
-
Is that all a cirrus is worth s/h?
I recall these being tremendous and not so cheap.
bump for a superb instrument
andy -
it is a fantastic bass, but pray tell...how you came about the price for it?
I recall buying mine for £179 in 83. I sold it in 89 and have regretted it eversince plus, seeing this pricetag makes me even more sick!
andy -
Easter bump!
-
setting them up this way appeared to focus the bass response tightening it up and ridding the cabs of the muddy midrange which was present when set-up with the ports together in the middle or the top and bottom of the stack.
andy -
after lots of messing around, this way sounded best!
-
Thanks for all the interest
andy -
cheers for that
andy -
would you split the rig?
maybe interested in the cabs.
Ooh, Ali McMordie - mainly cos he was a local lad for me.
Good to see someone else who noticed Neil Murray, I'm suprised he doesn't get namechecked more often.
a link to Mr Murray:

yep!
£600 is a killer!! -
For me it would be:
Andy Fraser
John Deacon
Peter Hook
Neil Murray (early Whitesnake)
Dennis Dunaway
Spanning the full decade there I think.
so close for me!
Andy Fraser
Neil Murray
Phil lynott
Dennis Dunaway
Cliff Williams/Ali McMordie - such a dilema -
I really thought that the svt micro stack was bigger than the picture potrays?
maybe Robert Trujillo is larger than the ordinary dude.....?
anyways - teenie weenie! -
an interesting find at a great price!
