Amazon Uk appear to be falling into line with Amazon.com! bang for your buck - apologies for the Americanism!!! Mrgig, you are correct, though some of the newer stuff is looking very sturdy indeed....I have the little brother of your V6 the V4 - these a particulalry bomb proof...however, early models/prototypes were very prown to failure do to over heating... btw, want your v6 swap my american pbass for it?? andy

5. any one got experience of these all valve 300 watt amps? seen them on amazon for £500...all valve? maybe entry level but thats a lot of bang for the proverbial buck!!
6. according to marshall; this is a common problem! my friend has one that has the same issue, they are very unstable...marshall cant commit to a repair on these! sorry dude, but not for me!
7. I'm so sorry mate... circumstances have dictated the sale........

10. thought about that...but they made such a difference to these basses that I would feel a little like a cheat if they didn't come this way!

12. dave... its hard to tell exactly what you are looking for?? I can though , recommend for portability, price, sound and punch the ampeg b410hlf - it a superb little box - I have two for more or less the same reasons as yourself...I will soon purchase an ampeg svt 810 as well for the knockout punch! forgot to say, my heads are an ampeg svt 3 pro and a trace elliot all valve v4, the b410hlf work flawlessly with these.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2tKJ4zzNjw my former bass tutor is the nephew of Jack Bruce... he also played bass with the proclaimer, danny wilson etc... also, used to be a cracking rock pub in Edinburgh called the Southern...Nirvana played an accoustic gig in there before an evening show late in 92', the place was quite literally full to overflowing, as you would expect, takings for that night was one the best the pub did ever!!! until...my rock covers band played in there...full, couldn't bloody well move nor get a drop to drink! record takings? beat it by a mile that night..as good as that may sound the advantage we had - was hogmany 92'! Edinburgh was bursting at the seems...................(|||)

19. you can have the best bass in the world and make it sound sh*te!! you can also own the lousiest bass in the world and make it sing...playing is in the person more so in the hands and hour technique..tone comes form our fingers and amplified through our instruments....My stunningly brilliant ex bass tutor had a zon bass but preferred gigging with his 70's satellite p bass...and good grief did he make it sing...(we all know the satellite bass I'm talking about?)
20. very interested in the gibson eb3-l.... pics and price please. andy
21.
This is a non working due to valve missing or cap blown (been told could be fixed for 80 if its not a valve) all valve bass head valued at £1400. it is in fantastic condition as its been in a loft for 23 years and is the most powerful marshall everbuilt and the rarest at only 1 of 96 ever made. it is called a 2001 model and is rated better than ampeg due to the amount of huge valves in the back. it is also the amp entwistle and iron maiden use to use. would like to swap for a decent bass as i have no use for the amp. best wishes dudz
what would you class as a decent bass?
22. its a proper valve head! its only ever going to appreciate - its also vintage trace! think hard, real hard...
23. you will regret parting with that head!! if its not loud enough with the cab - add another or get a better cab, these heads are fairly rare now...I would hold onto it and, if, you really need too go broke in buying something else...
24. nah! billy sheehan is!
25. I hate banging my drum...but I teach sound recording at a college in Glasgow - I am no expert though - and have used many of the standard packages out there and have to say that pro tools is the most powerful, in the way it records and edits sound (the engine or daw is phenomenal) that I cant find anything out there quite like it or even close to it...is sooo flexible and is only limited to the power of your machine...incredibly stable on a mac but a little fussy about hardware on a pc!
