4. dood... you know that there is an attached stigma in using signature basses, do you think john shuker would build a yamaha attitude type bass to my spec?
5.
I can vouch for the Attitudes. Don't so much sing and twang as roar and thump! Definitely different. Otherwise; OLP Tony Levin Fender Roscoe Beck (but the pick-up switch has to go in favour of a Volume / Volume or Volume / Pan arrangement) Quite like the new Statii - Pino Paladino or Guy Pratt designed models. Dunno if they're actually signatures per se, though.
o yes, oh yes - I have two attitudes and love them dearly!! worries the missus at times! they just kick ass and sound mighty - couldn't in a million years part with them....mind you when I kick the bucket, the kids will get them. they are like a fusion of a telebass and pbass, actually thats exactly what they are! trying to sell my pbass and squiers in order to fund an ampeg 810 and another yamaha attitude, a red or a black one or one of those anniversary series - they are just the dogs boll***s for mad rockers!!!!
6. awright! you have my attention - now gimme the free beer as promised! that'll enable me to feel ok when parting with cash on the credit card........... free bump for the title!
7. thanks for that bbb... and thanks to all for the interest. andy
8. ok folks sale back on.....thrown my tantrum and now.....well...feeling good!
9. bump... may be open to trades...on the look out for Ampeg 810 or another Yamaha Attitude, would pay someone a little extra if selling a red mk1 or 10th anniversary....
10.
amps on amazon? 300watt valve amp? buck?
yep! Amazon also do Ampeg at very reasonable prices! Amazon Uk appear to be falling into line with Amazon.com! bang for your buck - apologies for the Americanism!!! Mrgig, you are correct, though some of the newer stuff is looking very sturdy indeed....I have the little brother of your V6 the V4 - these a particulalry bomb proof...however, early models/prototypes were very prown to failure do to over heating... btw, want your v6 swap my american pbass for it?? andy
11. that sound as though it could be real loud then??
12. now with pics...
13. any one got experience of these all valve 300 watt amps? seen them on amazon for £500...all valve? maybe entry level but thats a lot of bang for the proverbial buck!!
14. according to marshall; this is a common problem! my friend has one that has the same issue, they are very unstable...marshall cant commit to a repair on these! sorry dude, but not for me!
15. I'm so sorry mate... circumstances have dictated the sale........
16. for sale: 1 made in corona usa chrome red with maple neck, 2001 fender pbass immaculate! comes with hipshot dtuner, mother of pearl scratchplate and fitted hard case. this one does not have s1 switching - thank god! £500.....
17. first itme I have seen him...fantastic!
18. thought about that...but they made such a difference to these basses that I would feel a little like a cheat if they didn't come this way!
19. as the title - humbling huh?? wish I could play a 1000th as well as that!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj6-gohzsaE
20. dave... its hard to tell exactly what you are looking for?? I can though , recommend for portability, price, sound and punch the ampeg b410hlf - it a superb little box - I have two for more or less the same reasons as yourself...I will soon purchase an ampeg svt 810 as well for the knockout punch! forgot to say, my heads are an ampeg svt 3 pro and a trace elliot all valve v4, the b410hlf work flawlessly with these.....
21. hope this has wprked! attempting to add pics....
22. was an extra in a video with fish and sam brown...friends and lovers i think the song is called! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2tKJ4zzNjw my former bass tutor is the nephew of Jack Bruce... he also played bass with the proclaimer, danny wilson etc... also, used to be a cracking rock pub in Edinburgh called the Southern...Nirvana played an accoustic gig in there before an evening show late in 92', the place was quite literally full to overflowing, as you would expect, takings for that night was one the best the pub did ever!!! until...my rock covers band played in there...full, couldn't bloody well move nor get a drop to drink! record takings? beat it by a mile that night..as good as that may sound the advantage we had - was hogmany 92'! Edinburgh was bursting at the seems...................(|||)
23. must admit - I am staggered at the life this thread has had.....
24. may have to sell these... back on..... my squier vm 75 jazz, 3 months old and flawless - modified with badass II bridge and schaller tuners at an extra cost of £100! see pics below....£200 as is and thats a lot of bass for that price!
25. it was ok...soon as you turned an amp up loud the alnico pups started squealing..... body and neck felt good - hardware is cheap and nasty!!!
