Im 60 years old and have been playing since I was 18 and mostly use a plectrum whilst playing only switching fingers when I wanted a softer sound mid-song.
Having decideded to try and learn how 'finger' correctly i.e. alternate fingers goining up and a mixture of alterning fingers and raking when switching strings coming down my problem is now is this . .
I have difficulty playing simple lines (at present when coming 'down' the index or middle finger used to play a string is decided by which finger is fretting the note.... this happens automatically but is technically wrong as I end double fingering with the same finger) so I'm wonder how I should attack this.
Firstly, should I bother.... does it matter if it's 'Tecnically' wrong ??
Whats the best way to 'Unlearn' old habits
