My first Bass didn't even have a name on it (I think that was due to the fact that no company would own up to making it) The action was high, it stayed in tune for 10.5 seconds & it's jack plug was really naff. but i played it for 2 years before i upgraded (Amp & other stuff took priority, like girls & erm other items of relaxation) I still look back at that era with a smile, the endless confidence & the life of just playing that Bass. brilliant times god knows how i got that thing to work lol

I'm about 3 quarters way through now, so should be probably by the end of the week fella

I'm still gutted i missed the last one, it looked fantastic

I'm great at meeting famous people because i never know who they are. I was at Glastonbury, in the beer tent on the edge of the pyramid stage, we was laughing at the P*ss police when a big fella opened conversation with me & a mate. we chatted to him for ages offering pointers at the lesser known bands & just basically having a laugh with a stranger. As we walked away my mate gushed at how cool i was when talking to him........i had no idea what he was on about. It was Jonah Lomu. Being from a Yorkshire thats a big deal......i just never recognize people until later. but i stand by my comment. people are just people But it was nice to meet such a friendly warm guy, who just happened to be talented at what he did.

So is this thread about Mani joining now ? or a thread about not being about people being on this forum, which were not allowed to notice or comment on? Or is this thread about people who play bass being on here, of whom we are aware of but not allowed to acknowledge because were all cool musicians ? Or is this a thread about where did Bilbo's carrots go ? At the end of the day we all play Bass & were here to trade info, Buy/sell Basses, Say Nee Noor, chat & have a giggle. i personally don't care who people are, as long at they are nice & bring something good to the community they are welcome in my little world.

Hi Guys just received the book this morning. It is in my care. So will pass it over as soon as i've read it.......which wont be too long as i've just finished 3x books at once & was kicking pebbles at what to start next.

Hi guys How do you turn this spell checker off ? It keeps trying to correct words to American spellings, I'm dyslexic & it's doing my head in. i struggle enough without this as well lol help me poor heed

I dont hang on to things, the sentimental things i keep are just small trinkets but actual stuff that can be used i always let them go. I was hanging on to a Bass for years that was my first Bass, i never played it. eventually i decided to let it go to a good mate, who still has it (He hoards instruments) i remember seeing it cleaned up with new strings & being played on a regular basis it did actually look happy........things deserve to be used. to the op: I know where your comming from i love the stingray & often drool over stingrays they are a dream Bass but if you dont play it anymore someone will & get genuine joy from ownership of this Bass. It deserves love & to be played as a primary Bass.

nice looking Bass i am of the rare breed that likes Basses without a sctratch plate just think it looks more sleak & clean

Hi mate wood filler would be very difficult because you'd struggle to get it to match in colour. do you have a colour pic ? i'll see if it matches anything that i make at work if i can get a match for you
