  2. Hello to Derby !!!
  3. Purple Mk 4 I would love to have played with Mr Tommy Bolin, a very underrated guitarist, from early Zephyr, James Gang, Billy Cobham's Spectrum album, Alphonse Mouzon's Mind Transplant, Tommy Bolin band inc albums Teaser and Private Eyes on to the one Purple studio album he recorded " Come Taste the Band with Bolin, Covernote, Hughes, Lord and Paice. Great Player and I would love to have heard the music he would have gone on to record had he not died so young ?
  4. Do you feel better now ?
  5. In reply to Lowdown. Take along a sharp pencil and a rubber (not a durex), a proper rubber. Bollocks that's where I got it wrong then, I thought that stunning pair of sexy French twins gave me a funny look when they asked me to meet up after the show . Muppet has it right, live gigs best not to get caught doing the sound mans wife or daughter I find, and certainly not prior to gig , they don't like it !!! Sound man can really make or break a show !!!
  6. Over the top !!! Wasn't that Cozy powell album ?
  7. OK. so its a couple of guitars but with basses !!! One Vigier Arpege 111, One Vigier Excalibur Surfreter Supra Pearl White, One Vigier Excalibur Surfreter Supra Wine Red and my trustee Grand Master Custom fiver snuck in there !!!

  20. Nice one.
  21. Hi Painy, As we say, Geoff is a decent guy. I saw him loads of times with Mr Rodgers and on the Marshall tour and I'm guessing the Marshall stuff was approx 20 years ago. I took my brother along and apart from it being a bit slow for us more experienced players to begin with obviously he covered basics to demo, once you chatted on your own so to speak he was a smashing chap with as we know spent many years touring and recording, I think he was sh*t hot on those Rodgers albums inc Now and the live Lowry tapes CD and other albums, decent line up with Mr Lochrie on the bass. I also saw him on the Harum live gigs and he stole the show me thinks !!!
  22. My Arpege 111 five string bass, 2003 custom order from Patrice and I waited eight months for it. But well worth the wait I think !!! I will do some better pics later.
  23. Hi,
  24. They didn't try, they succeeded !!! They removed all original pick ups and electronics and for some reason fitted a pick guard, hence the seven screw holes, six fitted with plugs and one left open, you can see it by the Vigier logo on body. It actually doesn't look bad in the flesh but this was done for some reason ? The bass was put back to as near as possible the original spec with new pick ups from Vigier and new electronics, Vigier could not supply original spec electronics and so this was fitted with the best available current electronics that Vigier recommended as the closest replacement for original spec, this was confirmed to me when I took the bass on one of my trips to the Vigier factory and work carried out was inspected by Vigier luthier Alex whilst I was there. Its had a decent job done and it and actually plays and sounds fine, just not 100% in the looks department. Not a problem for me as its a keeper for me at the moment.
