Hi Mr Hellohehehe, Yes, I have been known to pop in for many of the decent bands that play there, plenty of UK bands play there as you know, I drag the Mrs along for a dirty weekend at the Van der Valk hotel Verviers on occasion , she is Dutch so we take in a lot of Euro shows. Verviers is a nice place but as you say is in the process of regeneration but as you know the place is only 20k from Spa, the best F1 circuit in the world, also done many a track day there, and one of my favourite places as the countryside is stunning, I love the Malmedy, Stavelot and Spa triangle which made up the old F1 circuit which you can still travel/race on for quite a bit of it until it reaches/joins the current circuit. By the way I live the BEERS

I love Belguim, Spirit of 66 in Verviers is a great venue, some great bands have been on that stage !!!!

In reply to the bloke who mentioned Jimmy Lea from Slade, he lives in Brewood in the stunning South Staffordshire, I live about 1 mile away and we see him in the local boozer once in a while, hes recorded stuff locally at Mad Hat with mutual friends, it hasn't been released as far as I know, he used to get pissed of whenever Merry Xmas everybody came on but now he just ignores it and thinks of his pension funds, think of all the decent stuff Mr Lea and Mr Holder wrote, that a fine back catalogue by anyones standard me thinks, he's a smashing chap, get me a beer next time Jim OK.

I have seen GH dozens of times, with Trapeze inc the infamous one's in Cannock, and many solo tours and if anything hes getting better and better !!! Let me know if any other bass players from here are going and we can share a beer or three at the bar, ?. Laters K.

Great bloke, great bass player, stunnung vocals and a great band. Touring UK this month, I am going for my first gig on this tour, it will not be the last, on Monday at the Robin2. Anyone else going to see the voice of rock and funk ?
