1. Price Drop! Absolute Bargain!
2. I think the whole point of what Wampler pedals represent is being missed by a few of the posters here. This is a great opportunity for us to actually give some constructive suggestions on a potential new product. Fundamentally, as a couple of people have mentioned most of us would love to have our main tone intact then incorporate/dial the drive in as transparently as possible without losing low end response. For Wampler to do their magic, we need to give suggestions of the most popular 'amp' overdrives available and see if they can make a pedal that can give those characteristics. My first examples of great amp overdrive tones that would 'rock' in a pedal form would be: Mesa Bass 400+ Gallien Krueger Ampeg (the VT could still be improved) Pearce Preamps as not even Billy Sheehan has got an equivalent for those that he uses (with Compression built in would rock but not so important). The biggest demand/neccesity on the forums for drive effects is for a clean blend. Take a look at the popularity of the Darkglass B3K to see how this function is working for a lot of people in a big way. Other considerations that would be nice include: A compact pedal size where possible. Running on standard 9v or 18v for more headroom Heavily tested to work with Active Basses as well as Passive****Very Important*** Not just designed around a P-Bass played by a guitarist only using picks! Hope this helps and Wampler decide to accept the challenge! Cheers, Andy
3. Hey Geert! Great to hear from you! What you playing Bass-wise currently? Is the collection getting even bigger? ) Cheers, Andy
4. Was just thinking that looks suspicious! Haha! Bought the new version with the low back plate then decided to go bigger to a Diago Gigman. Hoping the Diago won't need to go up for sale!
5. For Sale: Adamovic Custom Jupiter 33” scale 4-string in absolute immaculate, new condition with only a couple of hours playing time since having it built for me by Adamovic. This Jupiter has a couple of non-standard specs that aren’t normally offered by Adamovic as EMG pickups and Aguilar pre-amps aren’t normally in the range. The combination of these electronics with the walnut body create a lovely warm tone with plenty of definition if required. I specifically simplified the electronics to not have a mid or Active/Passive switch, keeping the controls looking clean and straight-forward. The volume is a push/pull for Humbucker or Single coil mode for the pickup. The 33" inch scale makes chording a breeze! Body wood: Walnut Top wood: Pau ferro with maple veneer Shape: X-ergo back shaping Main neck wood: Hard maple Secondary wood: Wenge Fingerboard: Ebony Scale length: 33" Frets: 24 Nut: Ebony Jack: Barrel jack Finish: Oil finish Pick-ups: EMG 35TW Electronics: Aguilar 3-band (OBP-3) 18v Pickup modes: Humbucker/singlecoil Bridge: Hipshot style A-style 3-way adjustable Tuners: Hipshot Ultralites with D-tuner New price with the selected upgrades would be around 3500+ Euros and it is genuinely 100% immaculate/unplayed condition. Now for sale/on display at Bass Direct for £1800 http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Adamovic.html Complete photos are on the Adamovic site here and this is exactly as the Bass looks now: http://www.adamovic....upiter/Ju10.htm
6. Had a question on Talkbass about what exactly Stabilized Maple means concerning the Birds-eye fretboard, so thought it would be good to mention it here: Stabilized figured/Burl woods have been impregnated with monomores and acrylics to produce a dimensionally stable wood. Some advantages of stabilized woods are they minimize or totally eliminate: Shrinking Cracking Expanding Warping Other benefits of stabilized wood include: Moisture Stable Oil Impervious No Raised Grain Hope this helps! Have also put one of my prized Adamovic Jupiter Basses up for sale in a seperate thread, but ideally only plan to sell one of these 2 Basses. The 3rd Adamovic will be staying with me to my grave..............
7. For Sale, a very rare one-off custom 'Jazz-style' Adamovic Custom Bass custom built to my specs. Absolutely wonderful Bass that has been resting in its case for too long as I mainly use one of my Adamovic Jupiter Basses for everything. Excellent condition apart from a few light indentations in the finish at the lower backside due to me very cleverly having a keychain on my jeans for one gig! Plays amazingly and Sounds great as the preamp gives a lot of variation from the simple electronics setup, plus is running at 18 volts for added headroom. Specs as follows: 2 piece Swamp Ash Body 34" Maple neck with Stabilized birdseye maple AAAAA grade fingerboard (Stunning!) 24 Frets Abalone Inlays Birds Eye Maple electronics cavity cover EMG 35TW Pickup (Single and Dual Coil Modes) Aguilar OBP-2 Pre-amp (18v) Hipshot Bridge (through body or top loading) Hipshot Ultralite Tuners and D-Tuner X-Ergo back carving Satin Finish Jim Dunlop recessed straplocks Strung with brand new Elixirs. Electronics are set-up as Volume with Push/Pull single/dual coil and Bass/Treble cut and boost for the second knob. I purposefully didn't go for an Active/Passive switch as I wanted to have as few knobs as possible. New price would be around 2400 Euros Selling for [s]£1500[/s] [s]£1300 £1150 [/s]***SOLD*** Indentations in finish (described above)

Rumple

Just sold Dave a Pedaltrain Mini and it was a pleasure to meet him! Fast payment and easy to arrange everything. Top bloke!
14. TLC sold, only the Line 6 M5 still available!
15. Pedaltrain now sold!
16. The Aguilar TLC is a fantastic unit and even beats my old Demeter Compulator for awesomeness. Loved how simple the Demeter was, but had some daisy chaining issues with it creating hum unfortunately. The TLC has a lot more range, variation and can also work well as a limiter on top of the compression if desired. It doesn't mess much with your main tone unless you really want it to and keeps things clean and clear. Have put mine up for sale in classifieds though as I'm going the opposite direction to you and don't really feel the need for compression with my current set-up (my amp naturaly compresses the tone). Am sure I'll pick up another TLC later when I start doing some larger gigs again of course! .
17. Cheers for the bump Gareth! The M5 is awesome and I'd keep hold of it if I was going for a larger pedal board again, but am 'determined' to stick to no larger than a Pedaltrain mini (after some epic boards in the past that weighed a ton)!
18. Price drops on the M5 and Hiscox!
19. Can't comment on the Timeline unfortunately as after 2 months waiting for stock to arrive, I received a faulty one that distorted all the delays! have decided to go for a refund for now as Strymon took a week even giving an answer about a replacement and the shop was sold out already. Gotta say the shop was great and helpful but is too much money to leave pending while waiting for a replacement. If you find a shop with stock, let me know!
20. Strap and Pandora sold in record time. Cheers Jez!
