Thank you for all replies, I'm going down the cocktail stick route, I need it for tomorrow so wont have time to return it. Not good for a new Guitar to be fair.

I've only had the Bass a week and I've just noticed that the Strap button was loose to the point it's slightly wobbling, I had a go at tightening it, but the screw is just turning(wont tighten) wasn't expecting this with a brand new Guitar,? Any suggestions as to what I should do ,don't want to strip the threads or something.

I bought a set of Mark Bass strings ( medium gauge 45,65,85,105 flat wound) probably a year ago when there was an offer on. Now these strings feel lovely and smooth under the fingers, and I've fitted them today to my recently acquired Fender MIM P Bass, previously they were on my Yam 424x for a year, but now to my ears on the Fender they are sounding too bright for me when i thought the opposite would apply. Anyway ?anyone else use em on a Mex P and thought differently.

Now my Zoom B14 is no more,Just a quickie ?If I were to plug a lead into the earphone socket on the Scarlett 2i2 and plug the other end into the effects return on my AMP would i get the same result, but instead of the sound coming through my headphones would the sound be coming through my AMP speaker. I would try it but I don't want to damage my AMP seeing as the Zooms goosed.😁😅

I don't understand this thing at all, It works for about 8/10 mins then packs in, I think it's going in the bin.

WTf,it was working with the different guitar briefly 10 mins, now it packed up again .Losing faith in these now.

Think I may have it sussed. The Jack on the YAM 424x appears to be a loose fit so its working intermittently. I meant to change it ages ago so maybe now is the time to do it . But why would the loose jack cause the Zoom problem with it not displaying anything on the little screen, because after waggling the guitar lead in the jack the screen has now reappeared, so I'm going to try my other bass which I know has a sound jack.

It did but that didn't work. However it did work briefly when i plugged the adapter in which is when i did the reset but it wasn't long before it failed afterwards.

Thank you for all the reply's chaps .I've tried everything mentioned in the comments to no avail .So I've fired an email off to customer support ,so we'll see what happens.

After using my Zoom b1 four this evening it seems to have just died with nothing on the screen bit at all anyway i managed to do a reset but this has done nothing. I was using a USB cable into pc for power at the time, so decided to use my P9 volt power adapter and i was brief getting power which is when i did the reset ,but again nothing . Any ideas ?

Thank you for that ET,i really enjoyed reading that, I remember the record (Tell me When )vividly although I was only 4 yo at the time, I had three sisters the two older ones were in their mid teens, and I remember them dancing around the front parlour with their boyfriends to this and others (Beatles) great memories..

Oldish post, but I have a quick question for you. So when you play through your headphones you use the input jack on the zoom, I get that, but how do you get to here the tunes from Spotify through your headphones at the same time.

When i think back off all the live acts i have seen over the years ,i still can recall the absolute musicianship of these guys, who i saw at Bridlington Spa Hall back in 1980. I was right at the front, and i recall my eyes being fixated at Norman Watt Roy's bass guitar, they were so tight as a band its unbelievable, with the occasional glance over to the inimitable Chaz Jankel's guitar playing. From that day on i was hooked on the Bass Guitar,? Anyone else felt the same way with perhaps another band /bass player, or was it just me.
