Looks like a great deal to me.

Nice new Warwick Streamettes are in at Andertons now
abar121 replied to Mudpup's topic in Bass Guitars
I like the wood, not so keen on the handbrake. The Andertons videos are fine as a bit of fun. A bit annoying if you want serious content though. -
That looks beautiful, enjoy!

Glad you got the issue resolved anyway. FWIW, I've played some stunning Cort made guitars.

Thomann - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - A returns saga...
abar121 replied to spacecowboy's topic in General Discussion
What a pain! I only order small items from Thomann, but was tempted to try a bass. Think I'll only shop there in person, when I can. -
I started to learn guitar during lockdown, using the Fender online lessons. I love it and to be honest, my basses aren't getting enough love at the moment. I would learn on an electric given the hand issues. A well setup one will also help on the finger pain / difficultly fretting bar chords. Enjoy!

Also check the neck relief as well as the bridge saddles height. It's hard to say, without pictures. Was it ok before the strip down?

An award winning sE22000A Condenser Microphone with case and accesories as pictured. It was used for a home recording project which has now finished. I did notice a slight hum when recording. This may or may not have been down to the home recording setup, but I will mention for full disclosure. EDIT: Found the hum, from my USB interface. Replaced with a new Scarlett, it's perfect. Price is sent within the UK.

I use the VLE with the DI for recording. I could live without it, but it's effective and quick to dial in.

Have a look at the free editor for effects for these models: G5n, G3Xn, G3n, B3n, G1on, G1Xon, B1on, B1Xon, MS-50g, MS-60b, MS-70CDR. Gave my unit a 2nd wind and I was also able to put my favourite patches from the MS50G on there too. https://www.tonelib.net/tonelib-zoom.html

Wow, never knew these existed. I love my Ray and also the Jazz on the neck. Stunning.

I have a Zoom MS60B which I really like for modulation, delay, reverb and compression. Decent pedal and a good starting point

Rickenbacker TR-25 Guitar amp - new Transformer needed
abar121 replied to abar121's topic in Repairs and Technical
Hi Mark, Many thanks for the reply and apologies for the very late response. I did purchase a 220v 80VA transformer which was fitted. I did some further troubleshooting as the output was very low / noisy. I replaced one of the transistors that tested faulty, but that's as far as I got. It really needs someone with more expertise and a 'scope to diagnose further. If anyone around the London or Bucks / Beds area fancies looking at a project, that would be fantastic. Cheers. -
Hi Chaps, I have an old TR25 solid state amp that I was given, not currently working. I believe it needs a new transformer at the very least, so starting from there. Can anyone help, as my electronics knowledge is pretty patchy and out of date! I was thinking of using a 100VA or 160VA 240v 18v toroidal transformer, which has two 18v outputs on the secondary, so I would run them in series to get the 36v AC the rectifier needs. Or would I need a 40v output given the rectifier losses? Rickenbacker tech support have not been helpful. There is a circuit diagram here, if anyone could spare the time and sanity check this for me. http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdfs/19341.pdf Thanks, Alan.
