1. Something like this:

I don't know how small they go.

You've already mentioned these:

I think I'd try the screw caps.

To be honest, I'm fairly OCD, but I have open screw holes in my CSL bass pickguard, and even I don't notice them.

I was gonna reply, but you don't want attention.....
firstly, try a different web browser like Firefox
Now why didn't I think of that?

Edit:
Nope.
I've tried Safari and Firefox - no luck.
It's the embedded links that don't show up. On the "best bass lines thread", I'm just getting a load of blank replies.

3. I'm not really going to introduce myself, as I just don't want the attention. :D

But why can't I see the links people are posting (I assume to You Tube etc)?

I'm on Chrome, on Mac, (Version 49.0.2623.112 (64-bit)).

For me, Stevie's 'For Once In My Life' has got to be well up there. Jamerson at his absolute best, total mastery. This graphic representation gives an idea of its combination of fearsome complexity and effortless groove.

This.

Shivers down my spine when I first heard the bass, which, embarrassingly, was only recently.

I also like a bit of ABBA as well though...

Many thanks for the heads up. For some reason I can't reply to the wanted ad

And thanks for the vote of confidence on the price.... I just want to sell it so I'm being realistic for a quick sale.

Cheers

No problem.

Just a thought though, I don't suppose you want to swap it for a Rumbler (or SUB) and cash to you? :D

6. That's a good price. Mine's the cheaper version with soft bag, and I wouldn't sell mine for less than £300. :)

There's someone in Liverpool looking for one in the "wanted" section.

Edit:
It was lobematt, here:

IIRC the Jaguar is short scale anyway, but not 24 fret, so you might ideally need to learn how to use a router or get someone to do the neck pocket. All part of the rich learning process of life.

Or I could just use my dremel. :D :yarr:

Yeah, neck pocket - I had thought of screw positioning, but not really followed the thought process through.

@TheGreek - the builds thread is a good shout. I'll take a look. :)

8. Yes, I realise the question is probably arse-about-tit, but I bought a very cheap brand new short scale bass to use on my holidays, and everything apart from the actual body is quite nice. It's a PMT "Eastcoast" brand short scale, in black; I believe Stagg copy/made?

Anyway, I'm happy with the neck and especially the 24 frets. The bridge looks solid, the tuners stay in tune. The pickups are okay...

How easy would it be to transplant a half-decent body onto it?

I'm looking at this (as an example - I don't mind if you all bid on it, I've got time to wait for the next one):

http://www.ebay.co.u...wwAAOSwT-FZBily

Of course, I would keep the P-J setup, and I understand I would have to locate my bridge so that the scale length is approximately the same as the Eastcoast. Is there much more to it?
