I think a lot of it is down to the looks, Warwicks are very 'Marmite' and very un-traditional looking. You either love em or hate them, and I think this limits the used market. I also think that the whole 'Rockbass' line has diluted the brand name even if the quality has remained.

I did three auditions last year for the first time in about 15 years, I always find them a very surreal experience, I managed to get two out of the three gigs so I was pleased with that. Just remember they are musicians, making quick decisions is not what they are good at Best of luck.

' Now Delivered' Courier delivery within the UK This is my 1999 Warwick Corvette, in a very tasteful Emerald Green. I have owned this base from new and it has been very well looked after, and is in excellent condition despite its age. Everything is original apart from the nut which has been upgraded from a Just-a-nut II to a Just-a-nut III. The bass only has one small ding about 8mm long below the control nobs as can be seen in the pictures, there are other tiny blemishes but you have to look very hard to even see them. Everything, truss rod, electronics, hardware, is in good working order. The frets show signs of being played but nothing that requires any attention. The neck is Ovangkol, very slim and smooth 38mm at the nut. No baseball bats here. Body is Swamp Ash Pickups are passive MEC's with a two band active eq, and push pull active/passive switch on the volume nob. I'm sure most of you know what these basses sound like, I personally think of it as very Jazz like with a big dollop of Warwick growl and bite. I have been playing Warwick's exclusively for the last 20 years and I am really selling this because i want a change, so I am very much open to trades with cash either way depending on what it is. The bass is available for collection from Wimbledon in South West London, though I am happy to drive for an hour to meet up for a sale or trade. I can arrange a courier anywhere in the UK only for an additional £30 The bass come in a 'as new' condition flight case which can be seen in the pics. Now reduced to £600 Thanks for looking.

Its on YouTube so it must be right... and anyone who bought an SR500 but didn't get a Sapphire Blue one must be gutted.

Her is my little pair, my 09 Corvette has been my main bass for many years now, though the last few months has seen the thumb start to take over. Both fantastic instruments.

I think Lozz has the right idea, turn it down or go with headphones for the week, but next time her noise is bothering you, make a point of asking for the same consideration from her. Its great to have a good relationship with your neighbours but it takes both parties to compromise to make it work.

I will second that... and add Fender as well, their amps are ok but to many companies make their basses better than they do. Also pedals, I did a two hour set just before Xmas, with no pedals for the first time in months, and nobody noticed except me, since then the whole lot has been sold off, so I can buy something much more usefull.

The 'Recorder'.... is there really anything worse?

In my covers/function band we tend to tag most our advertising as '5 Decades of Rock' and we play Rock from the 60's through to the 00's, not very original but seems to get the point across.

They have added an extra date at the 02, there are still tickets available for that, not sure about the other dates though. -
We played our last gig for this year last weekend at a Birthday bash down in Brighton, but we hope to get things moving again in the New Year, so when I have the next date I will let you know mate... but you may have to cross the river

I've thrown myself right back into it, been back in a Rock/metal covers band for the last six months or so, and i've also recently started gigging with a Jazz/Funk quartet. Even changed my work, I've run my own Locksmiths company for the last 10 or more years, but I have packed that in and now I'm back to teaching, Music, Bass, Guitar and Ukulele full time. I've been kinda lucky the wife runs her own music school, teaching piano and GCSE music for home schooled kids, so we kinda dropped one business and expanded the other. So far its going really well. I teach for a living and play for fun and beer money... couldn't be happier

I only really started to get back into playing about this time last year after a 10 year break. At that time I just had my trusty 99 Warwick Corvette, by the end of April I was up to five having bought a Thumb, an Overwater, a Corvette $$ and a Precision. Now i am back down to two, I still have the old Corvette and I have kept the Thumb which has become my main bass these days. But in the last month or so since I have been spending more time on this bloody forum, its just Gas Gas Gas!... I've missed out on so many shiny things in the last 10 years. I think we need some sort of GAS support group, or a sub forum where we can trade body parts for Bass's or something.

I saw them at Donnington and Wembley Arena that year. I think I have caught them on just about every tour since, except during the 'Bailey' years, I only saw them once without Bruce and it just was not the same. They have essentially been doing the same show for years and I will never get tired of seeing it, I would gladly go back a revisit any Maiden gig. But saying that next August cant come quick enough! -
I had a 4001 briefly some years ago, it was just bloody uncomfortable to play, and if you like the Spector you may have the same experience. I would definitely say try before you buy, you never know you may love it.

So very very true, but remember side 4 was recorded at Hammersmith Odeon, I was actually there for that bit, that was my second ever 'big' gig blew my mind at 14 years old. -
