    There is a London based luthier called J & S ...something( I think). Make cracking neck through basses - they have put a couple direct onto eBay and they do have a website but cant recall it if anyone has any idea. BB

    Prompted by Janspeelbass' thread on Wilkes guitars I got to thinking........... This info is probably somewhere on the forum in one form or another but I was hoping to compile a list of British Bass builders past and present. I once had a cunning plan to try and collect at least one nice example from each one but now wonder how many that would result in. I would say the 'biggies' currently are Overwater, Status, Sei, Jaydee, GB and Wal (whatever is happening there) but there are probably loads more than I think. BB

    I never understood why Gibson basses had/have such a low profile compared to Fender. Was it marketing, lack of range or even quality or what??? Do they currently have a bass in their line up? I think they do an SG style but thats all that springs to mind. BB

    I have 3 sealed sets of above .030, .050, .070, .090 4 if u include the set I stuck on my Wal and then took right off again Will swap for 1 or 2 sets of a decent brand long scale 40/45s Or a cash offer mebbe??? BB

    No. It has the 13 pin cable seperate as the guitar has 3 outputs. The reason I am selling as complete is the Godin has the Roland pickup pre-installed (SA- Synth Access) BB

    I've had Four Statii in the past but down to one now, a 90's T-bass which is beeeooo-tiful, but 99% sure I want Streamline (chrome hardware) now as well. BB

    Foned the guy and says its a bit marked but has a Status pick-up in it and the bridge has been replaced with a gotoh. picking it up tonite might pass it on at cost + p&p as I dont really need it but it seemed a bargain. BB
