I found this very true!! Mebbe I'm just not a band person.

i have effectively 'retired' from gigging and music in general - scratched a living for years from a functions/showband - but I think i have bought more basses since I stopped playing! And now looking at a nice JD Roadie on eBay!!!
Feel I should be termed a collector rather than a player although I am toying with getting rid of them all for one nice vintage precision as i dont really have the room.
GAS, for want of a better word, is good (apologies to GG )

Nice Canyon lll here and at less than the list price of a ll

Off to try the Road worn 50's Precision and the 57 American Vintage Precision tomorrow - see how they compare as ones almost twice the price of the other

'Oh what a Night' 1963[/quote]
+1 on this one.
Back to the likes of 'Rockstar' everyone knows it from the telly adverts and it comes under the heading, like lots of other great songs, of 'Dadrock' and from personal experience Dads are always right!
Another good 'oldie' is 'When Tomorrow Comes' Eurhythmics

That does indeed look like a lot of bass for little money!!
Gumtree is always worth a try for gear, can be a bit of a trawl as some areas dont have a seperate Musical section.
And as its all cash u cant really get ripped off!

Offer cash and get cheap flights?? Would it still be worth it?
If I could be sure it was genuine and it was a player and I sold all me gear in the next 24hrs and...............

Sp Far So good with Interparcel ( who i think just arrange the delivery with 4 other companies)
In fact got a refund last month cos they took 2 days instead of 24 hrs - no questions asked.
I always enclose the case in cardboard (not easy) as technically if u dont, the case is 'the packaging' and u cant claim for damged packaging, only if the contents itself ie the bass is also damaged
