1. I would need the steak for the black-eye the wife would give me if she caught me paying this kind of money for a bass! But only if she caught me...........! BB
2. 'Alright now' was the toon that made me want to be a bass player - used to sneak in and pose with my big bruvvers red precision and 'play' along(if he knew I had touched it he would have killed me) Anyone know whos's in the reformed Bad Company? BB
3. Tis the curse of Queen, I tells ye! Poor Freddie, dead. Brian married to that old bird from Eastenders, John struck down by a Danielsiticosis and Roger......well he needs to be careful BarnacleBob - Pirate to the trade
4.
would u trade it for one of my livers? I can get by on only one..... I dont know sh*t from Shinola when it comes to vintage basses (especially Fenders) like this but even i felt this one was right but wanted to know what the troops thought. 7. Fender 62 Precision Original. Loadsamoney! did the maple board precision disappear completely til 67/68? Was it only the early 'telecaster' style Precision that had a maple board? BB
8. That is one gorgeous bass! If I could count to six I'd have it but my drummer says I have trouble counting to four (or is it three?) All the best BB
9. Big Blue Bible says "Instruments previously produced in Korea by the Moriadara Guitar Company. These entry level quality solid body guitars feature designs based on classic American favourites. While they do bear his name, Bill Lawrence is not associated with these models" No specific info on basses but guitar estimates are $250 - $400 dep on condition, again this is from the blue book. hope this helps BB
10.
If the 80s ever become cool that'll be worth a lot more than the current price. (& so will my Hohner B2A)
What!!!!! The 80's aren't cool? Everybody knows Music, Fashion and Films all hit their peak in the Eighties! KHAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!! BB
11. Never played an actual synth/midi bass but recently got a Godin guitar with synth access (to a Roland GR33 floor unit) The guy I got it from talked about changing my playing style if I was using the midi system. He said it helped if u tried to forget u were playing a guitar and think about what preset/type of sound you were triggering. I find also with sounds that have a high(?) attack level (ie funky bass sounds) ANY delay in the buffering is noticeable and u have to almost stay ahead of the beat - although maybe i havent set it up properly yet. BB
12. Is there a word for that sickening feeling you get the first time u prang a (so far) pristine bass? And do you still get it if you have a pre-relic'd bass. BB
13. Well done! Just testing you all! Cheers BB
14. This is one great looking bass - Alembic, Jaydee, Status and Pangborn all rolled into one!!!!!! BB
15. mebbe that's why he doesnt seem to know what he's selling BB

19. Stop putting nice basses like this up for sale! I keep forgetting I can be tempted by things I want. Love it!!!! BB
20. I thought line6 and behringer (V-Bass) and Zoom did small effects boxes for amp and bass modelling - I know these aren't single effect stomp-boxes but worth a look.
21. That was me wot sold that one - glad it went to a good home but missing it.
22. Has anyone heard of a bass builder, based in Devon area, called De Whales or De Wailles or similair. They used to advertise in Bass magazines in the 80s and their basses looked great but I cannot find any info on them other than the Blue Book lists them as Devon, England based Would welcome any info/pics.
23. Agree with Max Rossell if cash on pick up how can it be a rip. Only thing to watch for and this obviously applies to anything to bid is to buy not to try - note he will not accept returns on it. If u turn up and its obviously a dog (you dont need to hand over the money i suppose) or it turns out later it goes on fire after 45 mins of running. Alas Buyer beware. Bet it sounds sh*t hot tho!!! If my back wasnt wrecked by years of humping (gear that is!)...................
24. I would vote for ibanez BTB400 - I got one for £150 from ebay and I was amazed at how good it was - the Eq on it was Shot- hit! Only got rid of it cos the wife said a dozen basses was OTT and something had to go. Also check this currently on eBay - 200 bucks for all that! Pick up only so cant be a rip!
