For me personally, nothing. I’m more than happy with the 45-100 cobalt flats, a gauge I’ve used for as long as I can remember, with various manufacturers. However, for those who like the sound and feel of cobalt flats, but have issues with certain strings, due to gauge/tension (as @ghostwheel says, perhaps those coming from LaBella), these could be the answer to their desires.

It seems that a fellow BCer threw themselves under the bass bus to save you from yourself. A close shave.

Cut and paste description, another 5 stringer is fanned; not great website work. -
Here’s an interesting conundrum. I would like a better gigbag for my Epiphone Casino Coupé and have seen the one that Guitar Guitar recommend for that size of guitar. This would be (another) tier 2 fail, as it’s for a guitar. However, it seems that the bag is big enough to be used for a Mustang, as it is pictured with a Jazzmaster in it (Mustangs seem to fit JM sized cases). Would this escalate it to a full on fail, or keep it in tier 2?

Do some digging into his back catalogue, it’ll be a marvellous journey. If I had to name one artist who made me want to play bass, Pino is that guy (Paul Young, Gary Numan, John Mayer, The Who, D’Angelo, Joan Armatrading, NIN, David Gilmour, Don Henley, to name just a few).

Post removed, as may not actually work.

Not as robust as the ICON case, but this Gator bag will work and is way more affordable https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Gator-GB-4G-JMASTER-Gig-Bag-for-Jazzmaster-Guitars/5EB4

That's the tier 2 fail done. Roller bridge en route.

Let it heal until Friday and then tape it up with micropore for some support pre gig. Playing the gig with a cone of shame is optional.

It’s really a case of use or lose it. I’m rusty AF! Plus, it stops me looking at basses.

Quality quiver there.

I heard on Planet Rock that @Bassforradio was going to Leamington Spa to look at short scales (I’m assuming Bass Bros). Did you buy one, Darren? -
First of all, I was added to list of this year’s abstainers by default, not choice, so I’m really not trying very hard at all, in fact, I’m not trying, I’m just here to cause unrest . The tuning stability on the Casino Coupé is woeful, as it has a retro fitted Bigsby, with a very acute break angle. From what I’ve learnt from YouTube, even guitars with Bigsbys factory fitted, with this break angle, suffer from this. Past experience with Bigsbys has taught me that roller bridges make a decent difference. As I’ve been playing the skinny stringed thing a bit more lately, this is a reasonable upgrade. I want to get my Setzer on a bit more.

I feel a tier 2 fail in the offing as I’m looking very hard at a roller bridge for my Epi Casino and pretty sure I’ll be ordering one in the coming week. By doing this, I avoid going out and buying a Gretsch 5420 or similar (well, at least it off for another while).
