  1. Let it heal until Friday and then tape it up with micropore for some support pre gig. Playing the gig with a cone of shame is optional.
  2. We can only apologise for any trauma that may have occurred
  3. It’s really a case of use or lose it. I’m rusty AF! Plus, it stops me looking at basses.
  4. Quality quiver there.
  5. I heard on Planet Rock that @Bassforradio was going to Leamington Spa to look at short scales (I’m assuming Bass Bros). Did you buy one, Darren?
  6. First of all, I was added to list of this year’s abstainers by default, not choice, so I’m really not trying very hard at all, in fact, I’m not trying, I’m just here to cause unrest . The tuning stability on the Casino Coupé is woeful, as it has a retro fitted Bigsby, with a very acute break angle. From what I’ve learnt from YouTube, even guitars with Bigsbys factory fitted, with this break angle, suffer from this. Past experience with Bigsbys has taught me that roller bridges make a decent difference. As I’ve been playing the skinny stringed thing a bit more lately, this is a reasonable upgrade. I want to get my Setzer on a bit more.
  7. I feel a tier 2 fail in the offing as I’m looking very hard at a roller bridge for my Epi Casino and pretty sure I’ll be ordering one in the coming week. By doing this, I avoid going out and buying a Gretsch 5420 or similar (well, at least it off for another while).
  8. Not to the orange one.
  9. There would have to be some quid pro quo, that’s his modus operandi.
  10. Serial number lookup says LPB. Lighter than I normally expect LPB to be, but in a really nice way that changes depending on the light. 👍
  11. I don’t remember this much wheedling so early on last year. If in doubt, don’t buy anything, or go big and go out in a blaze of glory.
  12. I’ve been down this rabbit hole. FWIW, I think you made the right decision (in other words, the same result I came to, the EMG just nudging the Model P into 2nd). Cracking looking bass, that’ll sound the dog’s dangly bits.
  13. Rocco Prestia had a goodly number of signature products, both basses and amps.
  14. The Brian Setzer Orchestra’s, Dirty Boogie album, whilst I do the ironing. Jazz, swing, rockabilly all with slap bass and very in your face.
  15. Tokyo Joe - Bryan Ferry
  16. Cadillac Ranch - Loose Windscreen
  17. Absolutely. What I meant was that you have to try really hard to produce something worse than Gibson. Someone has tried really, really hard.
  18. I know Gibson did some weird and wonderful shaped p/gs on the SG shape, but WTAF?
  19. Yes, yes it does. I read that as need the equipment. GAS is real and causes hallucinations.
  20. Not just me then. Why they do demos from the floor at NAMM is beyond me, they never sound good.
  21. Just found this: https://blog.ernieball.com/accessories/ernie-ball-new-at-namm-2025/ I think that they might be Cobalt Flats, but in signature gauges.
  22. I think he has been using Cobalt Flats recently, as I recall an advert of some description… Found it
