I had an LS2 many, many years ago and I swapped a couple of the jack sockets to facilitate better/easier cable runs. Perhaps this is his solution or maybe he bought my old one
I used to do a number those in my old band. When the keyboardist originally suggested Gold, I was sceptical, but I loved playing it, still do (I play along at home).
I tend to have my strap length to match how the bass sits when I’m sitting (or thereabouts). Fortunately, it seems to be pretty much the same for all my basses, regardless of body shape.
Gah! This thread now has me looking at EB3s and dammit if GG in Glasgow don't actually have one. https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/pxp231124415836002-11714090--gibson-1970-1972-eb3-short-scale-bass-cherry-pre-ow
I don't want another bass, I don't want another bass...
I had a setup on an Epiphone Casino Coupé that had some fret issues. I had the guy at Guitar Guitar in Epsom do the work and I was very pleased with the results. Might not be the same bloke now, but they have a reputation to uphold and I'd imagine they don't employ monkeys.
