  1. Pour Whiskey on My Grave - Jacob Bryant
  2. You had me going there for a moment, I thought someone had bought it at the death. Looking forward to the transformation.
  3. I wanted so much to see the CT conversion that I hope no one bites too. Painful for the wallet, but for the best I reckon.
  4. I was watching some of the Belladrum festival coverage yesterday. The sound was mainly thin and favouring the top end. Fatherson (guitar, bass &drum, 3 piece) came on and the bass player was using a P, nothing remarkable during the first song. For the second song, the bass player switched to a Player Mustang PJ and suddenly you could hear the bass. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make out which pickup/s were being used, but it sounded great, whereas the previous P was fairly inaudible. Certainly a win for the short scale in this instance, looked cool too.
  5. This will be interesting. Bring them on, Dad.
  6. That's just too spooky, without the name published, I wouldn't have known the difference between father and son. And that one does what it says on the tin - classy. The throb on the dub version is massive!
  7. Rocket Cathedrals - Be Bop Deluxe
  8. I still clearly remember being in the car on the way to work and being amazed by some guy playing guitar and sounding like a modern day Jimi. I was surprised when the announcer revealed it was Prince, the track was Let’s Go Crazy.
  9. I Want To Wear Your Skin - Death By Sexy
  10. Weed Bus - The Stairs
  11. Sadowsky SBP2 pre amp EBS Unichorus EBS Octave MXR M82 compressor All mounted on a Pedaltrain nano with a Volto battery power supply.
  12. They’re a couple of crackers! I’d love to hear some sound clips of those.
  13. He's fine and I think he offers a very fine service, his style make grate with some, but he's running a business to put food on the table and provide shelter for his family. I don't mind him at all (when I remember that it's a business) and I find his alter ego, Ian Allison, entertaining too, especially when they get together on podcasts, etc. This thread just started out as a bit of fun, if some folk have come to grind their axe, well that's the internet for you.
  14. Long Train Running - Doobie Bros
  15. I think I can’t be the only person wanting to see a frontal shot of that.
  16. Same for a lot of folk, getting together with others is often like trying to nail a jelly to a wall, or herding cats. However, people find a way to make it work.
  17. White, Music Man, SUB, the original US release, is the one that springs to mind (surely there were others too?), I traded in a Gretsch hollowbody guitar. Yikes! I just feel even older .
  18. About time! Absolute bargain.
  19. Just get a popular artist to adopt it as their stage name. BTW, we’ve met, many years ago when you worked at the Bass Centre, I was always popping in at Brune St.
  20. Next time you see George, you must thank him from me that I no longer have to tell people how to spell my surname. The new thing is that I have to explain that we’re not related and that it’s actually his middle name. 🤦🏻
  21. However, this is what most people use as a measurement of action. I have always used the 15th fret, but that’s for my own reference, when sharing measurements, the 12th fret seems to be the de facto standard.
  22. Also on Come Talk To Me, from the same album.
