  5. Whilst I visited The Bass Centre when it was in Wapping, I preferred it when it moved to the site, a stone’s throw from Liverpool St. I could legitimately pop in there pretty much any day of the week, without making a special trip out to Wapping.
  6. Impressive work, Neep. As for the cable run, see above.
  7. I remember seeing a video of Yes with Chris playing that bass, it sounded just like when he played a Ric.
  8. 5-4-3-2-1 - Manfred Mann
  9. Back when I was playing 5 string basses, the 2 basses I gigged with were both Ibanez, one fretted and one fretless. Among the genres I played on them were: rock, pop, reggae, soul (you get the picture). I never had anyone question the tone of my basses, quite the opposite. Ibanez instruments are well made and, because of the reduced dimensions over Fender type basses, very comfortable to play.
  10. That’s a fantastic weight for a fiver (or any ‘Ray for that matter). What a looker too! GLWTS.
  11. Seems we’ve moved on from… This reminds me to call my offspring (we text a lot, but don’t chat much and she’s at the other end of the UK), I’ve been worried about her lately, she lives alone (cat notwithstanding) and hasn’t been involved with anyone for ages (at least to my knowledge), apparently, at her age, “They’re all mental, Dad,” and she can’t be doing with their shenanigans/baggage.
  12. In today’s money, that’d cost around £880 (according to Google anyway), I call bargain. Looks great too.
  13. I Gouda Known Better - Jim Diamond
  14. Or you could order them direct… https://www.public-peace.de/maruszczyk-instruments-mf5-medium-scale.html
  15. I might be being daft here (or blind) but aren’t the yellow, green (pair one), brown & white (pair two) as shown in the diagram? The black wire in the diagram is your (surround) earth. Edit: hang on, I see what you’re saying now, the actual colours of the pickup don’t match the box description and diagram 🤦🏻 (sorry, I’ve been slow here). If that’s the case, you probably need to contact the supplier/manufacturer.
