The law of diminishing returns, Tonewood and other folly’s

I can certainly see the strap pin holes becoming quite stretched. -
I’m stealing that!

The law of diminishing returns, Tonewood and other folly’s

Tone concrete anyone? -
You’re intention was, and is, to play live. Your guitarist, and perhaps the singer too, don’t appear to be on the same page. Therefore, you need to find like minded individuals to achieve your goal. This is not always easy. Perhaps, keep this band going to keep your ‘playing in a band’ chops up and form/join/seek out another outlet that wants to gig or already is.

Says 2023 on the the wrapper. -
There’s some sort of smutty comment to be had here, but I’m going to be strong and let it pass.

Having trouble justifying spending twice the money(ish), but thanks for the offer, I may still take you up on that. What changed your mind on it? -
Indeed. Now to get this particular product's quality to match their after sales service.

EuroVision Song Contest in the UK for 2023..?
ezbass replied to Dad3353's topic in General Discussion
Actually not bad and, given that we would shelling out wherever it's held anyway, I withdraw my objection. What I will be objecting to is the whole bloody hoopla of picking the 'winning' city that we are more than likely to be subjected to. -

Who pays for these boondoggles? If it’s the public purse in any way, shape or form, we should not be hosting it, given the current economic climate. -

Unfortunately, the anticipated delivery date for the LPB, P/J, Player series, Mustangs at Guitar Guitar of the 23rd of this month, seems to be optimistic and is now just 'available to order', with no projected date . To be fair, I'm not surprised, disappointed yes, but not surprised. However, I see that they have a Gibson SG bass with a few quid knocked off for a scratch on the neck. I've just listened to good few demos on YT and those, plus the great tone Andy Fraser achieved with one (Jack Bruce and Felix Pappalardi too, of course), has me wondering if this tardiness from Fender isn't a sign to cast my net further afield. They appear to be quite light by all accounts, so all good there, although there is the neck dive issue of course. Hmm... -

Best I can do, plainly more hours required.

The 10,000 hours thing is such a nonsense. People with natural ability will ‘master’ (whatever that means) a skill far more quickly, whilst those without that natural ability may never get there, wherever ‘there’’ is. From my own experience, it’s all plateaus coupled with surges in perceived competence.
