  1. In a world that doesn't make a lot of sense these days, this post is a shining beacon of sanity. Sorted, job done, nothing more to see here, move along.
  2. "Can't put the bloody Precision down, while I knew I liked it, it now feels like the most amazing bass I've ever owned." Sounds like a 10 to me. Just aesthetically speaking, I prefer the P, if that helps @Beedster choose just one (knowing that he hangs on my every post ).
  3. Due to moving to the other end of the country a couple of years ago, I had to quit the 2 bands I was in (certain overlaps in the line ups meant no conflicts). Without doubt, it was the only regret in having upped sticks. In the last month or so, I’ve finally joined another band locally and although not necessarily the genre I would have chosen, I’m so happy to be back playing with others. First gig next month and I’m really looking forward to it.
  4. Damn it! I love that song, but I have nailed my anti bagpipe colours to the mast and should not budge from my position. Damned fine album is Us, often overlooked.
  5. Hmm, the obvious answer is, as you have already said, keep them both. However, something must have driven to put them up for sale, what was that? Once you highlight what it is that made to decide to out them, does this still stand and is something that will always be a niggle? If yes, back on the FS pile. If no, but keeping both isn’t really an option, which one will niggle the least? Once you’ve done that, keep the less problematic one. Conversely, stick with your original plan to sell both and wait for the seller’s regret .
  6. Tea in the Sahara - The Police
  7. He Nose You Know - Marillion
  8. Bad Motor Scooter - Montrose
  9. I’ve had edge mounted jacks for years, occasional issues with stands, but nothing that bothered me too much, just buy the right stand. However, my 2 most recent basses have front mount and I must say that I now much prefer that position. OK, it’s not terribly elegant looking, but I do find it more practical.
  10. Well… they are all grey. Whether you think grey counts as a colour is another question.
  11. Well, up to a point, more of a paraphrase and they were quoting a propaganda poster from the Spanish civil war era. Actually, I grew up in a house where yodelling was to be heard emanating from the gramophone, my parents owned a Frank Ifield album that featured it, so I’m a little less sensitive to it and, like @Frank Blank, I find it quite amusing in Focus tunes, a bit of whimsy in otherwise quite ‘serious’ music.
  12. I maintain my position, there are plenty of of other tracks by AC/DC one can choose from, no exceptions. Remember, if you tolerate this, then yodelling will be next.
  13. Nope, no exceptions, you let one through and then you’ve set a precedent. Harsh I know, but it’s for the best. Really, how much?

  18. Absolutely. Add to that, he was actively touring and seemed fit as a butcher’s dog, it really came as a bolt from the blue, at least for me.
  19. Oh Superman - Laurie Anderson
  20. Part ex. Yes, I’m an enabler .
  21. Lithium - Nirvana
  22. You wanted a British luxury, niche instrument (that's what an Aston is, with some Mercedes and Saudi interest) and you were given Status. Job done, case closed.
  23. Milk & Alcohol - Dr Feelgood
