  1. There’s one for sale on these very hallowed pages
  2. It might be just a singer whose looking for people to form a band of course, although the normal giveaway there is that they’re looking for every type of musician that the site lists.
  3. I emailed Sire direct, this was their response: Please be advised the new P5 bass has a smaller body and is generally about a 1lb lighter than the V7 basses. The V9 basses however have the maple top which adds about 1lb to the V7 models. For our V10 models the weight is approximately the same as our V9 models. M2 M2 4st: 8 lbs M2 5st: 9 lbs V3 V3 4st: 4kg = 8.8lbs V3 5st 4.5kg = 10lbs V7 (V7 Vintage) V7 Alder 4st : 9 lbs V7 Ash 4st : 9 lbs V7 Alder 5st : 10 lbs V7 Ash 5st : 10 lbs M7 M7 4 Alder bass 8-9 lbs M7 4 Ash bass 8-9 lbs M7 5 Alder bass 8-9 lbs M7 5 Ash bass 9-10 lbs V9 V9 Alder 4st : 10 lbs V9 Ash 4st : 10 lbs V9 Alder 5st : 10-11 lbs V9 Ash 5st : 10-11 lbs
  4. They want to eat your brains? 🧟‍♂️
  5. I know Antigua has its fair share of haters, but I’ve always like it and it looks amazing on that Mustang.
  6. Me too. CME seem to be able to arrange for limited colour products from the big manufacturers. Anderton’s sometimes get in on this action too, so we might see those here.
  7. Given the price of bringing a private lawsuit, twice in this case, he plainly has too much money already.
  8. See, there you go, everyone see the light eventually* . *You’ll be heartened to hear, however, that I’m currently changing my 2 tort p/gs over to black, just to be contrary.
  9. Nice, but surely it’s NPUD or NP/UD (to avoid confusion with new pedal day) .
  10. Nice, better than the cheap old clips you get on things like this.
  11. 😍 I never understood why the L6 didn’t take off with guitarists, Santana played one for a bit, but it did nothing for its popularity. I worked for me visually, although I never got to play one. That Kimbara is pukka. I remember being enamoured with a white, Kimbara Strat as a teenager, they always seemed to be a premium copyist.
  12. Nice intro, Simon, good work. There are some great builders here on BC, who are always willing to share their experience. As for one bass in 30 years, the Gear Acquisition Collective here will be doing its best to change that . Dive in and enjoy.
  13. Definitely with for me. ‘51 meets 4000, loving it.
  14. Normally, self praise is no recommendation, but you have been quite restrained… so far
  15. Well that’s a totally feasible explanation. I reckon you get a pass
  16. We’re you ‘just browsing’ and tripped and fell on the keyboard, hitting the add to basket and then the confirm buttons? Happens.
  17. I've been silent as I felt sure that signing up for abstinence was a waste of time as I have (or at least had) severe P bass GAS. I was about to pull the trigger on a Player series that was reduced, when it went before I could commit . I'm now in a period of reflection having played my Maruszczyk Elwood L, J type for a fair session (I had to stop as I was getting a tight, plucking hand, forearm - my practice regime has been somewhat remiss of late) and that P bass tone is right there, thanks to the Delano humbucking pickups (basically splits in a narrow housing), plus a variety of blends (well 5 in total to my ears) that the extra pickup supplies. So I'm still purchase free for 2022 (he says on just day 10)! However, I feel GAS will get the better of me and I'll see an offer I can't resist. But for now, I'm still in 😬.
  18. That makes sense. Trav to the rescue, again 👏👏👏.
  19. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) - Green Day
  20. Unless it’s a Maruszczyk (that was an interesting learning curve, pun unintended 😆), or a two way rod. The Vintera will be single action, right tight, left loose though. I played a Vintera at the guitar and bass show in London, pre Covid and really liked the V profile of the ‘50s basses and guitars.
