  1. For me: 1972 You are not worthy. 2022 No, still not worthy.
  2. Smashing! Short scales do seem to be very authoritative in a mix (more fundamental, less harmonics) and they take pitch based FX brilliantly.
  3. Good grief!
  4. The Dregs! What a guitar player Steve Morse is. So sad that he’s had to call it a day.
  5. Just as silly to have the mids off. Either way, should be OK for a cover if you add some drive.
  6. Nothing Ever Happens - Del Amitri
  7. Hope it stays asymptomatic and clears up soon.

  11. I Genoa A Little - Lynyrd Skynyrd
  12. I Knew the Bridie - Nick Lowe (a bridie is a Scottish pie/pasty affair if you were wondering).
  13. Jennifer Eccles - The Hollies
  14. You just had to make me look, didn't you? 😍😤😢

  21. Baker I’m a Want You - Bread
  22. Back when I lived down south and was gigging, Alice was often my homeward bound companion. He’s a great DJ as is Joe Elliot, especially as Joe often plays very different things from the PR norm. I miss the Hairy Bikers, their Sunday show was essential listening, just for the chat alone.
  23. Sounds eminently likely, the nut height on my Sterling ‘Ray SS was unnecessarily high.
  24. I also really enjoy the Planet Rock Years (except when it’s ‘67 & ‘68), always fun to try and work out the year (I was a year out today 😤). Some of the Saturday & Sunday late evening programs are good fun.
  25. The request shows are an indication of why the daytime shows tend to peddle the same old, same old a lot of the time. 4 hours or so for the listening public to request what it likes and yet these requests are even more predictable than the usual programming. Yes, they probably select requests of things they have readily available in their library but, for the most part, it’s the same weekend in, weekend out. I listen to PR most days and always like the ‘shortest show on the radio’ where Darren (a fellow BCer) and Wyatt do their grumpy old men schtick.
